"So, what about the Merchant Tribe and the Jabari Tribe?" Steve Rogers asked.
"The Merchant Tribe is focused on business and is loyal enough to the throne, but they don't have an army. As for the Jabari Tribe..." T'Challa paused.
"Judging by T'Challa's reaction, the Jabari Tribe seems to be significant." Steve Rogers said.
"The Jabari Tribe, their warriors are the bravest and most skilled soldiers in Wakanda. In fact, they are the tribe most capable of turning the tide and changing the situation. However, their leader, M'Baku, is headstrong, combative, and rebellious. He holds grudges against the throne for various reasons." T'Challa said, "But it's because of this that their leader M'Baku is headstrong, combative, and rebellious. He holds grudges against the throne for various reasons."
"It sounds like the answer is becoming clear." Stephen Strange said.
"I choose B!" T'Challa made his selection.
[Answer incorrect! Deduct one year of lifespan!]
T'Challa had thought he had this question in the bag, but the result surprised him – he was wrong!
"If not W'Kabi, could it be Nakia?" T'Challa thought of Nakia, his fiancée.
However, when the space played the video, the result surprised him once again.
In the video, Everett Ross, Nakia, and several others were walking together.
"Where are we going?" Everett Ross asked.
"We're taking the Heart-Shaped Herb to the Jabari Tribe." Nakia said.
"Heart-Shaped Herb? What's that?" Everett Ross asked.
"It enhances the abilities of the one who consumes it." T'Challa's sister, Shuri, said.
"It's what made T'Challa so powerful." Nakia said.
"Nakia." T'Challa's mother, Ramonda, pulled Nakia aside and whispered to her, "I don't like this. The Heart-Shaped Herb belongs to us. Doing this might make M'Baku an even more formidable demon. Nakia, you should take it yourself."
"I'm just a spy, I don't have an army." Nakia rejected the proposal without hesitation, "I don't stand a chance."
"Let's go." Seeing Nakia's resolute attitude, Ramonda didn't say anything more.
But as they hadn't walked far, several burly men wielding spears appeared around them and brought the four of them before M'Baku.
"My son was killed in combat!" Ramonda held back tears as she spoke to M'Baku.
"Was the combat fair?" M'Baku asked.
"Fair," Nakia said, "but..."
"Then it's not murder, it's defeat." M'Baku interrupted Nakia.
Upon hearing this, Shuri got furious and retorted, "It's not your place to say!"
"Silence!" M'Baku didn't show any leniency, even to Shuri, T'Challa's sister, "I'm the one in charge here, young lady."
"Listen, Your Majesty, the new king is a..." Everett Ross also tried to speak, but M'Baku didn't give him a chance to talk, "You're not allowed to speak! Say one more word, and I'll feed you to my children."
Everett Ross looked very displeased but wisely kept his mouth shut. M'Baku, on the other hand, broke into a grin, "Just kidding, I'm a vegetarian."
To be honest, this sudden joke caught everyone off guard. M'Baku initially came across as domineering and assertive, not one to make jokes. Especially after threatening to feed someone to his children, the shift in tone to a joke felt quite abrupt.
"Great Ape M'Baku, this is why we're here. We offer this to you. An outsider sits on our throne, and only you can help us stop him." Nakia knelt on the ground and presented the Heart-Shaped Herb, the last one in Wakanda.
After saying that, Ramonda, Shuri, and even Everett Ross all knelt down.
"Follow me." M'Baku glanced at them and then turned to leave.
Under his guidance, Nakia and the others entered a cave. As soon as they entered, they were taken aback. In the cave, there was a snow bed, and lying on it, covered in white snow, was T'Challa, the one Erik had thrown off the cliff.
"Is he still alive?" Nakia asked.
"He's unconscious, barely holding on." M'Baku said, "One of our fishermen found him by the river and brought him here."
"Why bury him in the snow?" Shuri asked.
"It's the only way to save his life." M'Baku said.
"We have to take him back to my lab. There, I can save him." Shuri said.
"Take him away." M'Baku extended his hand, "He won't last much longer."
"Nakia, the herb." Ramonda remembered the Heart-Shaped Herb.
"Ancestors above, Goddess Bast above, me and my son, T'Challa, save him." Nakia handed the Heart-Shaped Herb to Ramonda, who then gave it to T'Challa to ingest before covering him with snow.
"Could I have a blanket, please?" True to expectations, T'Challa woke up.
"Killmonger has gained the full support of the army, and he's destroyed all the Heart-Shaped Herbs." Nakia gave T'Challa a brief overview of the current situation.
"Of course he would. That's how he's been trained." Everett Ross, being an intelligence officer from the United States, had some knowledge of Erik. He revealed Erik's background to the group, "His organization has collaborated with the CIA to sow chaos in other countries. They always take advantage of power transitions, like during election years or the death of tribal leaders. They seize control of governments and armies..."
"For our resources." T'Challa understood Erik's intentions.
"Exactly." Everett Ross said.
"Our great tribes." T'Challa said.
"Our vibranium, my inventions." Shuri spoke up.
"He will distribute our weapons worldwide." T'Challa stood up, pointed to his mother and sister, and addressed Nakia, "You must ensure their safety outside of Wakanda."
"What about you?" Shuri asked.
"The challenge must continue." T'Challa said.
"T'Challa, we won't leave Wakanda." Ramonda stood up, walked to T'Challa, and spoke resolutely.
"Protecting your safety is my responsibility." T'Challa said.
"If he gains control of our technology, we'll have nowhere to hide." Shuri also stood up, holding a string of necklaces.
T'Challa burst into laughter as soon as he saw the necklaces, as they weren't necklaces at all but the Black Panther suit.
With it, they had the means to stand against Erik.
"Black Panther lives on." Shuri personally placed the necklace around T'Challa's neck, "While he fights for Wakanda, I'll be by his side."
"I'm with her." Nakia said.
"I'm in too." Everett Ross said.
As these words were uttered, everyone looked at him with strange expressions, as he was a member of the American intelligence organization, not a Wakandan.
"What's the matter? Strength in numbers, right?" In the midst of everyone's gaze, Everett Ross said.
"Are you done?" M'Baku, sitting to the side, looked at them as they put on this show of misery. He was getting so bored he felt like falling asleep.
"Can I talk to Chief M'Baku alone?" T'Challa said to Ramonda and the others.
"Thank you." After everyone left, T'Challa's first words were a show of gratitude, after all, if it weren't for M'Baku's intervention, he would be dead by now.
"I owe you." M'Baku said, "One life for another, we're even."
"Please allow my mother to stay here with you." T'Challa made a request.
"She'll be fine, I assure you." M'Baku readily agreed to the request.
"You know, I can fight too." T'Challa said again.
"Of course you can." M'Baku smiled. Just as T'Challa thought he had obtained M'Baku's agreement, M'Baku's smile disappeared, "But no. I won't let Jabari Tribe sacrifice themselves for your cause."
"This is our cause." T'Challa corrected M'Baku, "Isn't it our cause together?"
"We? We?" As soon as T'Challa uttered this word, M'Baku became somewhat indignant, "You're the first king to come to us in centuries, and now you're telling me 'we'?"
"I can't absolve the past kings." T'Challa didn't defend himself but admitted the faults of his predecessors, "But now, an enemy sits on the throne. Both you and I know the power of vibranium. If Killmonger gains control of it, who do you think he'll come after next?"
"We won't help you." M'Baku turned around and sat back in his seat.
The scene changes, showing Erik and W'Kabi walking together.
"Everything is proceeding as planned." W'Kabi reported to Erik.
"Have the spies been informed?" Erik asked.
"Yes." W'Kabi replied, "Some of the new spies have expressed objections to our mission, but the spy organizations in London, New York, and Hong Kong are ready."
"We'll attack those places first, and others will follow suit." Erik picked up a weapon that looked somewhat like a spear but had a broader head, "Take a look at this. The power of this weapon with a supersonic cannon is enough to take down tanks. Metal detectors can't trace it, and we have thousands of them. The world will eventually understand our true strength."
Boom!
At this moment, a plane inexplicably crashed from the sky, and a raging fire began to burn.
Erik, W'Kabi, Okoye, and the royal guards rushed towards the crashed plane. A figure emerged from the blazing fire, standing on the wreckage of the plane. Who else could it be but T'Challa?
"He's alive." Seeing T'Challa, Okoye immediately burst into joyous laughter.
"N'Jadaka!" T'Challa walked towards Erik and the others, shouting Erik's real name loudly.
"What do you want?" Erik asked.
"I haven't surrendered!" T'Challa shouted as he walked, "As you can see, I'm not dead either!"
"The challenge is over. I am the king now." Erik turned around and gave orders to the others, "Take off and continue the mission."
Suddenly, planes took off one after another like swarming locusts.
"Suri, now!" T'Challa had long anticipated that Erik wouldn't stop the mission, so he was prepared.
"W'Kabi, kill this joker!" Erik ordered W'Kabi.
"W'Kabi, the challenge isn't over yet!" Okoye reminded.
"Border Tribe!" W'Kabi looked at T'Challa, who was approaching step by step. Despite this, he chose to obey Erik's command. Instantly, his soldiers brandished their blades and charged towards T'Challa.
"You!" Okoye was furious, pointing her spear at Erik, "You hold too much resentment in your heart, you're not fit to be king!"
Clang!
She tapped her spear on the ground twice, and the female warriors of the royal guard all aimed their spears at Erik.
Erik probably had expected this situation, he immediately donned the Black Panther suit, wielding a sword and a knife, engaging in combat with Okoye and the others.
On the other side, T'Challa clashed with the soldiers of the Border Tribe. They formed a defensive formation, but T'Challa leaped high over their defenses.
Boom!
T'Challa's fist slammed into the ground, unleashing a powerful shockwave that knocked over the soldiers of the Border Tribe.
With just one blow, the formation of dozens of people was shattered by T'Challa's immense strength.
T'Challa scooped up a spear from the ground, shook it, and shot it into the sky. The plane that had been pursuing him immediately crashed, falling to the ground and shattering into pieces.
Due to Okoye's sudden change of allegiance, T'Challa was no longer fighting alone. Many of the female warriors of the royal guard arrived, joining T'Challa in the battle, creating chaos on both sides.
W'Kabi also engaged with T'Challa, but he was no match for T'Challa, who was wearing the Black Panther suit enhanced by the Heart-Shaped Herb. They barely exchanged blows before T'Challa kicked him far away.
W'Kabi grew furious, climbing onto a large rock and starting to blow a horn.
"Oo-oo-oo!"
The piercing sound of the horn rang out.
Boom boom boom!
The ground suddenly began to tremble.
Rhinos with iron-plated heads and massive steel horns suddenly charged out from somewhere, heading straight for the crowd.
In an instant, the valiant women of the royal guard couldn't hold their ground. One after another, they were tossed into the air by the rhinos.
Faced with these rampaging "tanks," it was up to T'Challa. He ran towards one of the rhinos, grabbing its massive steel horn and bringing it crashing down to the ground.
One could only say, the Black Panther is impressive.
However, the battle between Okoye's group and Erik was far from smooth. Not only were they unable to defeat Erik, but one of them was also killed by him.
In the end, Okoye's group managed to pin Erik down with their spears, attempting to remove his necklace. But Erik managed to counterattack, sending them all flying.
"Long live Wakanda!" Nakia shouted, wielding her weapon as she charged towards Erik. Shuri, wielding dual pistols, kept firing, providing support from the sidelines.
Even Okoye, a skilled general, couldn't take down Erik. How could Nakia, a spy, possibly manage it? In just a few moves, she was sent flying as well.
Shuri's combat skills were lacking, but she had a significant advantage—her technological genius. Her high-tech pistols posed a challenge for Erik for a while, but in the end, she couldn't defeat him and her weapons were destroyed by his attacks.
Erik tossed Shuri to the ground, holding half a spear and slowly advancing towards her.
At the same time, T'Challa was engaged in a chaotic battle with W'Kabi and the Border Tribe. Witnessing Shuri's life being threatened, T'Challa unleashed a burst of energy, sending everyone around him flying.
Just as Erik raised the spear to strike, T'Challa leaped forward and the two of them tumbled off the cliff together.
To their surprise, beneath the cliff was a hidden realm with sparkling tracks crisscrossing the area. Maglev trains rumbled along these tracks.
T'Challa and Erik, one in a blue-striped Black Panther suit and the other in a yellow-striped one, engaged in a fierce battle on these high-tech maglev train tracks. The intensity of their fight was awe-inspiring, surpassing even the scratching and clawing of two wild cats.
However, even in this intense battle, neither could gain the upper hand. The Black Panther suits were incredibly resilient. No matter if one scratched or clawed, the suits provided ample protection, preventing any injuries.
"Suri, activate the lowest train." Mid-battle, T'Challa came up with an idea.
"The stabilizers will deactivate your suit. You won't have any protection!" Shuri warned loudly.
"Neither will he!" T'Challa charged at Erik.
"Okay!" Following T'Challa's command, Shuri activated a train. T'Challa and Erik continued their battle amid the rumbling noise of the train.
As expected, when the train started moving, the suits worn by both of them began to recede gradually.
"I don't even need this suit to kill you." Erik looked down at his fading suit and spoke to T'Challa across the train, "Your rule is over. You thought you could hold onto the throne?"
"You want to see us become the very people you hate, just like those colonizers." T'Challa stared at Erik and shouted defiantly.
"No, this is what I learned from my enemies, an eye for an eye." Erik responded.
"You've become just like them!" T'Challa retorted, "You will destroy this world, including Wakanda!"
"This world took everything from me! Everything I loved!" Erik's expression grew intense, "But I'll ensure equality for all. I'll find anyone who even remotely remains loyal to you and eliminate them, bury them next to Zuri!"
"Ah!" Mentioning Zuri struck a chord with T'Challa, and he roared in anger, charging towards Erik.
T'Challa's battle raged on, but on the ground, Okoye and the others were in dire straits. W'Kabi's Border Tribe had surrounded them completely.
Though the royal guards were valiant, their numbers were too few.
"Surrender now! You have three seconds to drop your weapons!" W'Kabi mounted a rhino and began the countdown, "Three, two..."
Before he could reach "one," the surroundings suddenly echoed with roars, unique roars with a distinct rhythm.
"Prepare to witness the power of the Jabari!" It was M'Baku, leading the Jabari Tribe, who had arrived.
Even though he had refused during T'Challa's negotiations, M'Baku had chosen to intervene at the critical moment, providing assistance to T'Challa.
The arrival of the Jabari Tribe swiftly reversed the situation, and the Border Tribe's forces began to crumble.
Under the threat of Okoye's spears, W'Kabi discarded his weapon and knelt on the ground, choosing to surrender.
It didn't take long for the victor to emerge on the ground. In an opportune moment, T'Challa found an opening and struck a fatal blow, thrusting a blade into Erik's chest, ending the battle.
And with that, the war came to an end.
"Perhaps we can still heal you." Finally, T'Challa brought Erik back to the ground, and together they gazed at the setting sun. T'Challa spoke to Erik in a soft tone.
"Why?" Erik asked, "So you can imprison me?"
"Bury me at sea, just like my ancestors who jumped ship, because they knew death was better than slavery." Erik pulled the spear deeply embedded in his chest and fell to the ground, his heartbeat and breath gone.
The scene grew dark, and the video ended.
"This Erik, he was quite a man." Clint Barton sighed, "Too bad he didn't choose the right path."
"Your former best friend helps your enemy against you, while someone you didn't consider a friend comes to your rescue." Natasha Romanoff remarked, "Life is truly unpredictable."
"In the end, M'Baku came to help me. It's surprising, but not entirely." T'Challa also sighed, "Why did W'Kabi betray me? Why did he side with Erik? We were best friends!"
"Perhaps Erik offered him something you couldn't." Nick Fury said.
"Thinking about it, there were signs of W'Kabi's betrayal long before." Phil Coulson added, "In a previous topic about T'Challa, during Erik's initial challenge for the throne, W'Kabi presented a pendant that proved Erik's royal lineage."
"At that time..." T'Challa pondered for a moment and then seemed to realize something, "I understand now! The problem might be related to Ulysses Klaue."
"How is that related to Klaue?" Tony Stark was puzzled, "If I recall correctly, Klaue had already been killed by Erik at that time. W'Kabi shouldn't have had a chance to meet Klaue, right?"
"The problem lies in Erik killing Ulysses Klaue." T'Challa explained, "Klaue caused an explosion while trying to steal vibranium from Wakanda, and W'Kabi's parents were killed in that attack. So, he harbored deep hatred for Klaue, wanting to flay him alive at every moment."
"Erik killed Klaue, avenging his parents. That's why W'Kabi sided with Erik?" Steve Rogers commented, "It sounds like a valid reason."
"In a way, it's also my fault for what happened with W'Kabi. As the king of Wakanda, it was my duty to apprehend Klaue, but I failed to do so. Instead, someone with ulterior motives did it." T'Challa reflected, "My mistake."
