Slowly opening my eyes, I was first hit with an intense amount of bright light, followed by waves of pain spreading throughout my whole body, causing me to groan and grunt in agony; as unmanly as it was, I probably had a pretty low tolerance for pain, perhaps because I can count on my finger's every time I've ever felt pain.
'F-Fuck, why does my body hurt so much? S-Shouldn't I have healed by now?' Thought Pharaoh in pain as he slowly sat upright, only to look at his surroundings, noticing that he was in a silver room, deep underground, away from sunlight.
"Well, ugh, that makes sense." Muttered Pharaoh as he slowly shifted his body off the gurney he was lying on and hopped off, only to flinch in pain and fall to the ground.
"F-Fuck me; I-I need to get more accustomed to pain." Said Pharaoh through gritted teeth as he pushed himself off the ground before grabbing a nearby gurney for support.
Finally standing up, barely at that, I noted I was inside what looked to be a hospital room, though given the silver room and the fact that I could hear Professor X, Jean, Mr. McCoy, etc, was enough to know I was still in the X-mansion. However, not only was I in pain, but my body was wrapped in several bandages, and all I had to wear was underwear, which definitely wasn't mine.
'Ugh, please tell me these are clean.' Thought Pharaoh with an unsightly expression as he looked down at his tighty whities before sighing and slowly walking towards the entrance.
Although my head was a little messy, I remembered everything that happened, and after I had managed to calm Jean down with a kiss like it was some kind of movie, I passed out shortly afterward.
"Ahh, hopefully, Jean's okay." Muttered Pharaoh lightly as he leaned against the door, breaking it open by accident, causing him to sigh in exhaustion.
Forcing the now broken door open, I slowly walked through the silver halls while using the walls for support as I headed toward Jean; thankfully, no one else was down here. It would be quite embarrassing to be caught in nothing but your underwear, which weren't even mine to begin with, so it only made this whole thing worse.
Arriving at the room Jean, Professor X, and Mr. McCoy were in, I knocked on the door a few times, and a second later, the door was opened, allowing me to see the scene of Jean sitting with her head down while being lectured at by the other two, though when she saw me, she quickly ran towards me before hugging me.
"T-Tut! A-Are y-you okay! P-Please tell me you're okay!?" Exclaimed Jean in worry with teary eyes as she looked up at Tut, who nodded while hissing in pain.
"Y-Yeah, well, ugh, I'm alive, so I'm fine; I-I'll heal soon." Replied Pharaoh with a nod as he reciprocated the hug, though he was mainly using Jean for support lest he fell over.
"W-When you passed out, I-I had thought I might've killed you. I-I'm sorry. I-I'm so, so sorry!" Stated Jean earnestly with slight tears as she pressed her face into Tut's chest, tightening her hug, causing him to sport a pained expression as he suppressed his grunts while rubbing her back, soothing her concern.
"W-Well, I'm not dead, s-so you've got nothing to worry about, a-and it's not your fault, Jean; it's both of ours. I got what I deserved, and it seems like you're in the middle of getting what you deserved." Remarked Pharaoh lightly with an ugly expression as he remembered the unbearable pain of being burnt alive before shaking his head and glancing at McCoy and Professor X.
'Eh, they look thoroughly pissed.' Mused Pharoah wryly as he looked at McCoy and Professor X while hugging Jean.
"How are you feeling, young Pharaoh?" Asked Professor X as he suppressed his anger for now before scooting closer to the two using his wheelchair.
"I'm in pain, and roughly every part of my body hurts and burns, though I'm alive." Replied Tut with a slight frown as he looked at his bandaged body before shaking his head and slightly smiling.
"Though, I-I'd like to apologize for the damages Cerebo had sustained; I'll help repair it." Added Pharaoh in slight shame as he glanced between McCoy and Professor X while Jean stooped hugging him and turned around.
"Just as we were telling Jean, Cerebo is of no concern, Pharaoh; we can easily rebuild it, same for everything else that was destroyed or damaged during the event. What we're upset about is your reckless actions of using Cerebo without any proper guidance, Jean," Declared McCoy as he folded his arms and looked between Jean and Pharaoh, who both were filled with shame at their actions.
"You've never used Cerebo before; you could've killed thousands, if not millions, from just the slightest of touches, given your telepathic strength. Though worst of all, you knew that, Jean, I've informed you of the dangers of using Cerebo, and that is why you're only given access in case of emergencies and emergencies only." Stated Professor X sternly as he looked at Jean in disappointment, causing her to hang her head down, too ashamed to look either of them in the eyes.
"I will not get into the problem with whatever occurred afterward, as it seemed none of us could've expected that would've happened, and I'm glad no one was fatally harmed, though still, I'm greatly disappointed in you, Jean. You're a smart, talented young girl who knows better than this; hopefully, this will serve as a lesson to you. Same to you, Pharaoh, as someone who had just saved the world from his own species, I don't need to tell you how foolish and reckless your actions were either." Added Professor as he eyed Jean in sadness and disappointment before shaking his head and looking at Pharaoh, who nodded with a sigh.
"You will definitely be helping to repair Cerebo, Pharaoh." Said McCoy with a frown as he followed behind Professor X, who had left the room, passing both Jean and Tut.
"Haa, I know." Said Pharaoh with a nod while leaning against Jean for support before glancing at Professor X, who had stopped and looked at Jean.
"I won't be punishing you Jean, I believe this lesson was more than enough punishment in iteslf; however, I shall be revoking your access to Cerebo until you've proven that you've earned it." Declared Professor X solemnly as he looked at Jean, who flinched before nodding.
"I-I understand, Professor." Replied Jean in a shaky voice while her long red hair hid her ashamed and pained expression.
Watching Professor X and Mr. McCoy leave, I glanced down at Jean, who kept wiping her tears, and just as I was about to comfort her, I was suddenly picked up into the air before gently set outside the room.
"S-Sorry, Pharaoh, b-but, I-I'd like to be alone right now." Said Jean as she looked at Pharaoh, giving him an apologetic expression before pressing a button, causing the door to close, leaving him standing in the middle of the hallway just outside the room.
Sighing to myself, I was about to knock on the door before sighing again and stopping, only to gently rest my hand against it.
"If you ever need me, just say my name Jean." Said Pharaoh lightly as he glanced at the door, refraining from looking at Jean before turning around and slowly walking away.
I didn't get a response, but that was fine; I knew she heard me; besides, she already knew how to get my attention. Walking through the halls, I slowly made my way towards the underground hanger, passing by Mr. Howlett in the process.
"Why the hell are you wearing my underwear?" Asked Howlett as he stopped walking and looked at Tut with a frown, causing him to groan.
"Ugh, I don't know; do you want them back?" Replied Tut as he eyed Howlett, who puffed out smoke from his cigarette before shaking his head.
"Nah, you can keep them; I just better not catch you wearing my underwear again, kid." Stated Howlett as he gave Tut one last glance before continuing down the hall while he rolled his eyes.
"Tsk, yeah, whatever." Said Pharaoh dismissively as he shook his arm, before continuing toward the underground hanger.
When I arrived at the hanger, I pressed a few buttons before pulling a lever, causing the ceiling to slowly open, revealing the dusk, causing me to groan once more, since at this angle, I was subjected to almost no light.
"Haa, hopefully, no one sees me." Muttered Pharaoh as he slowly took to the air before flying out of the underground hanger and into the sky.
Given the extent of my injuries, I was moving pretty damn slow, well, at least compared to me, I was still flying about mach-two or something, and as I flew higher into the sky, exposing myself to more sunlight, I got faster and faster, until I eventually exited the atmosphere and floated above the earth.
'Ahh, this feels so much better.' Thought Pharaoh as he grabbed the bandages before ripping them off his body, his burnt skin visibly healing at impressive speeds.
It didn't take long for me to fully heal and return to optimal condition; looking back down at the X-mansion, I searched for my suit, only to see it was stuck on a tree, prompting me to speedily fly down there and wear in a matter of a few seconds.
"Haa, now then, I suppose I should go and reveal my identity to the few people Jean didn't know of, like the four with Mom, Fury, and I guess Coulson as well, along with a few others, I think." Stated Pharaoh, folding his arms with a thoughtful expression before taking to the skies and speedily heading toward Washington, DC.
