Since Ametsa said that, throughout his work Daniel was always quiet and didn't talk as much as before, making the girl sigh. In this cafe, there are only two of them working so the quiet atmosphere seems to be awkward.
"Daniel, are you mad?" asked the girl with a bent face. "Forgive me."
However, there is no response from the man who is currently making an order so that Ametsa feels increasingly neglected by him.
The girl sighed before finally the order was finished, but Daniel didn't let her deliver the order and instead did it herself.
"Ametsa looks like you'll get some karma one day." She said in his heart because he felt guilty for making Daniel, who was her friend from school until now, disappointed because of her. "Oh, my God. What should I do now?"
Not long after that Daniel came back with an empty tray, but his eyes kept looking down and even ignoring Ametsa who had been standing next to him.
The girl felt that she was considered non-existent by the man in front of her at this time, making her sigh again.
It was getting late, so these two humans had to end their work because the clock was already showing at 22.30 at night. Ametsa who has changed clothes is now ready to take the backpack she always carries and the hat he uses.
Ametsa looked at a man who was still tidying up his things until she decided to say goodbye to Daniel, who turned out to be silent until now.
"Daniel," she called to the man in front of her. "I will go home first, see you tomorrow, and sorry."
With a heavy heart, the girl immediately walked away through the back door leaving a man who was currently silent at what Ametsa had just said to him.
Daniel sighed and lowered his head feeling the pain in his heart because the man who was forced to have to ignore Ametsa if he didn't want his feelings to deepen made him sigh.
"What do I do?" he muttered. One hand immediately pinched the bridge of his nose for a moment, then said again, "I've hurt her. But, I'm only doing this because I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable with me. Ah, what should I do now?"
The man was currently feeling guilty for allowing Ametsa to sit idly by doing nothing as he continued to ignore her, causing Daniel to immediately lift his head and his eyes darted to the clock on the wall, it was already 10 pm.
"Oh my God, I must be crazy by now."
Daniel immediately cleaned up everything and left the cafe shortly after locking the door first.
On the other hand, Ametsa was currently walking alone in the silence of the highway. She sighed as she recalled what happened to her today, it was so hard and tiring.
It's just that he never meant to hurt Daniel, who she considered her brother. But it seems the man misunderstood what Ametsa had done to him.
Ametsa sighed and felt so guilty for the man who now had to hate her for refusing to love him back.
"AMETSA!"
A scream that came from behind made the 21-year-old girl immediately freeze with wide eyes. She seemed to recognize the voice so she was now feeling nervous.
"AMETSA WAIT!"
Again the scream was heard which made her immediately turn her body towards the back where she could see that in the distance a man who was currently in her mind was running to her.
"Daniel?" muttered Ametsa in surprise. "W-why is he here?"
It didn't take long for Daniel, who was now beside Ametsa, who was still stunned to see her.
"I thought you had gone far, but it turns out you're still around here."
Ametsa looked at the man who was now smiling so sweetly that the girl wondered what had happened to the person in front of her right now.
"What are you doing, Ametsa?" Daniel continued with raised eyebrows. "Did I surprise you? Or do you not like me here?"
The girl quickly shook her head because she didn't want Daniel to feel misunderstood again, causing the man in front of her to sigh and smile again.
"Alright, then let me take you home."
"W-why?"
Daniel who was about to walk suddenly stopped again after hearing the question that was just said by someone who was beside him at this time.
"I can't let you go home alone, Ametsa. You are my woman---" Daniel cleared his throat and said again, "I mean, you are a woman so you shouldn't be going home alone at this hour of the night."
The man cursed himself who spoke loosely, making Ametsa who saw him now want to laugh if she didn't remember that the person in front of her was Daniel.
"Thank you, Daniel." Ametsa nodded his head with that sweet smile where Daniel could now see the sincerity in the girl in front of him making it harder for him to forget his feelings. "I thought you would hate me."
The words from the girl beside him made Daniel immediately shake his head. "I couldn't possibly hate you, Ametsa. Are you kidding me?"
Ametsa who heard it immediately chuckled, she didn't know that her relationship with Daniel would improve so quickly which made the girl feel relieved.
"No, I'm serious Daniel. I always think of you because I feel that you are hurt by what I said."
"I'm sorry, Ametsa. I must have confused you today, so please forgive me, okay?"
The girl who heard it immediately nodded her head with her sweet smile looking at the person in front of her who was smiling at her.
"I'm sorry too, Daniel. After all, it's all my fault, I shouldn't have said that to you."
"Not really," Daniel said as he folded his arms across his chest and looked up at the moonlit night sky. "I feel that this is the best for me, so you don't have to think about my feelings anymore."
Ametsa knew that what the man in front of her was saying was just a lie. Daniel would never be able to lie to himself that he did like her making the girl feel guilty.
"Daniel," she called to the man who was now in front of him.
"Yes?" said Daniel with raised eyebrows.
"I'm sorry again," said Ametsa with a bitter smile. "I really can't take it."
Daniel, who heard it, was silent for a moment before finally turning his face the other way while nodding and a smile plastered on his face.
"I see, Ametsa."
