100% Married to My Best Friend in High School. / Chapter 8: {Chapter 7}:

章節 8: {Chapter 7}:

<Peter's POV>

I smiled down at (Y/n) as we walked down the sidewalk, holding hand and her swinging them between us.

When she finally caught me staring she blushed really hard. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." She mumbles at me.

I chuckle. "I don't have to, I mean you are all mine until death do us part." She blushes a rosy red.

"I s'pose." Another silence befalls us. I stare at the ground in front of me with a small frown.

She seems to notice this and pulls me to a nearby bench. She sits me down and stares at me for a moment. "Penny for your thoughts?" She quirks her head to the side, concern lightly resting on her features.

I let out a heavy sigh and glance at her face and then back at the floor. "I just feel like we're being ripped off ya know? Like we're missing out."

She moves closer to me and takes one of my hands between her smaller ones. She's frowning too.

"What do you mean?"

I shrug my shoulders half heartedly; "I just always thought that we would have more time. More time to be teenagers, more time to discover ourselves, just a lot more time than we've had."

She nods her head and also shifts her gaze to the floor. "I know what you mean. I always thought that I would get married much later in my life, like when I'm in my thirties."

I look at her, my frustration finally beginning to boil over. "It's just so unfair! We're only stuck in this mess because our parents couldn't dream of living a day without their money! An-and to think May was in on it." I whisper the last part to myself as a one lone tear escapes my eye.

She pulls my head into her chest as I hug her waist. She gives amazing hugs. I close my eyes and inhale some of her scent. A mix of books, with some left over traces of her perfume and a bit of mustiness from her jacket.

After a while I pull away and she looks for any more traces of sadness on my face, still worried for me. "Thanks," I chuckle lightly, wiping my eyes to rid them of any more tears. "I needed that."

Our close proximity causes me to gaze at her lips. Hormones.

"Can I kiss you?" I whisper.

"Yes, please."

And with that I lean in and kiss her on the lips. It takes her a moment to reciprocate, but once she does, her enthusiasm matches my own.

After what felt like forever she pulls away and takes in a big gulp of air to try and get her breath back. I do the same and admire her beauty.

As soon as she catches her breath, she lifts a hesitant hand to her lips. "Wow." Is all she softly gasps out before making eye contact with me and blushing profusely.

I give her smug smirk, making her blush harder and attempt to push me off of the bench. I laugh and push her back, but softly as to not send her flying off, because of my Spider-strength. Wait.

'Spider-strength!'

I turn to look at her. "The other night, you ask me if I had to go on patrol," I lean closer and whisper; "You know that I'm Spiderman."

She nods her head and lets out a tiny giggle. I gape at her, flabbergasted. I open and close my mouth resembling a goldfish.

"I- uh - How?" I manage to press out, in my astonished state.

Another giggle escapes her lips as she shakes her head at me. "I've known since the beginning," she looks at the people passing by, "You can't fool me. Everyone else maybe, but not me." She turns and looks at me.

I'm startled by the way the sunlight reflects in her eyes, setting them alight and giving them movement and depth. I realize that I have been staring at her, and try to zone back into the conversation.

I only catch the last of her sentence. "-long enough... Peter are you even listening to me?"

I smile at her and lean in, catching her lips in an unexpected kiss. She gasps against my lips and I smile. I really like kissing her.

I pull away and her lips follow mine, making me chuckle and causing her to blush. I gaze into her eyes, turning her cheeks an even darker shade of red.

"Thank you." I whisper to her, earning a bright smile from her. She leans closer to me, glancing at my lips every few seconds.

"You're welcome," she whispers back before leaning in to kiss me again.

I move my hands to her waist and she traces her her hands up my arms, coming to a rest behind my head, entangling in the hairs there.

I was really enjoying the kiss when a homeless man suddenly yells at us to 'get a room'. We break the kiss and I yell back, "You're just jealous that I get to kiss such a pretty girl and you don't!"

She giggles softly into my chest and I blush, my sudden burst of courage gone. "Oh god," I groan, "I think it's time we go home anyway."

"Yeah, you're probably right," she says, getting up and pulling me along with her. She hooks her arm in mine and we continue our trek home.
