"Ya keep telling yourself that!" He said staring at me with his boring eyes. For the first time in my life, I had self doubts. I'm sure, I've never killed anyone before, but why is Alex making it looks as if I've killed someone when I haven't. I glared at the man eating nonchalantly.
"Alex, who made you a killer?" I asked and he stopped eating, his black eyes stared at me. "Thought I've told you about myself before?" He asked. He did tell me about himself and his first kill, but who taught a five years old child how to kill?
"Let's talk about you Hazel!" Alex turned the conversation to me and my heart skipped. I knew what he wanted to talk about, and I'm not ready to talk about it. "Why do you hate your father so much?" I frowned at his words. I despised that man alot. "Cause he's a despicable man, he's a devil!" I cursed.
"That's not enough reason to hate him!" Alex said and I started, "Not enough reason?, that man left when I was younger and never returned. He called me after nine whole years just to sell me off to your family!" I said. Bringing up my past brought some crazy memories back and it gets me upset.
"How old are you Hazel?" I heard Alex ask. "22!" I answered briefly. "Did you attend college or you dropped out?" Why was Alex suddenly interested in my life. "I did, I studied IT!" I said. "Why suddenly interested in my life Alex?" I asked.
"It's not a crime to know few things about who I'm married to!" He said. Soon our dinner was over, there was no one to ruin it this time. It started up pretty bad but ended up like the best dinner ever. Alex helped me back on my wheelchair and we got to the car. I must say, I enjoyed the wheelchair stuff alot. Now I think of it why did I reject it in the first place?
We arrived at home, I and Alex got to the bedroom, we laid on the bed bed after Alex helped me with my nighty. Alex has been so sweet to me since I arrived this morning and I really don't want him to change. I just knew there's more to Alex than I've seen, and I believed with time I'd know. I laid on the bed staring at the ceiling, recalling all the event of the day. My day started off peacefully in Paris, but ended sweetly, wait it's not ended yet.
I thought of what Carie said about Rafael, just to confirm what I already know, I turned to Alex. "Alex!" "Hmm!"
"Did you really kill Rafael that day? You never explained to me why you embarrassed me before your family!" I said to see Alex sit up immediately. "Embarass you? The f**k?" He picked up his phone, switched it on and threw it at me.
I picked the phone and saw a video playing, I was agape. But how was Beverly able to get a clear view of us? I thought. Something was totally not right.
"But I stopped him in time!" I defended myself. "There's no need for that now, he's dead, isn't he?" Alex laid back on the bed after collecting his phone from me.
I laid back on the bed, taking in deep breaths, I could remember Delaney's scared face that day.
Everything happened so quickly, and before I knew it, a shot was fired at Delaney. I darted my gaze to the man laid on the bed in sleep mode and I sighed, Alex really killed Delaney all because of Berverly. Which made me wonder why she did it, did she have something against Delaney or against me? I thought.
Sleep was far from me, that's what happens when I stay in a different environment for the first time. I looked at the handsome figure already in dream Land on the bed. He looked to cute and pure without any sin, but Alex is the greatest sinner, I've ever met. I poked his cheek countless time before getting bored.
With time my eyes got heavier and heavier till I eventually fell asleep.
