章節 34: I know what’s going to happen
Enopy came back to reality and took a good look at Ervice; he wore a red apron which compelled enopy to awaken his sense of smell.
He was hit with a dense smell of pasta and meat.
"You can cook?" Enopy asked as he turned his sight back to Ervice.
"Well, after being a lone cultivator for years, you pick up some skills. Now come and eat," Ervice said as he walked out of the room.
It was at this time that Enopy realized that he was on a bed in a room he had never seen before.
He leaped off the bed and ran into the dining room.
He was greeted by a huge bowl of pasta and chunks of meat and potatoes; he soon devoured the bowl of pasta and moved on to the meat and potatoes, but that was soon also devoured.
"Good, now I'll give you a day to get slightly accustomed with using fragrance while using the mind shield. Be ready by then. I'm going to go kill you now; I'll be back soon," Ervice announced as he walked over to the door.
"Ok" Enopy was used to Ervice's eccentric personality, so he paid his last comment no mind when he felt no danger, but he put his guard up slightly.
"Calm down; if I wanted to kill you, you wouldn't even know that you were dead before your consciousness went dark," Ervice announced before he walked out of the house.
Enopy went back into his room and started to practice; he soon noticed he wasn't making any evident progress and decided to go for a walk.
He walked for a while; as he let his thoughts drift away, he soon found himself on a dirty street; making him take a good look around, he noticed that the area he wandered into seemed to be the slumps of this city.
He felt a slight sense of danger, but he continued moving.
Soon the origin of the danger revealed itself.
It was a group of bodybuilder hooligans.
"Hehe, look who wandered into our territory," a crazed-looking old man said as he licked his dagger.
"Let's skin him", a bald tattooed-covered young man continued.
"No, let me spend the night with him", a fat man with makeup on and red lipstick said in a deep voice.
"let's rob him", a normal-looking man who looked like the leader said calmly.
Enopy stayed still and watched as they conversed.
"Hehe, he's shocked with fear". "Let's go"; the old man said as he cut his tongue and let his blood fall on his dagger.
They soon ran at Enopy.
Enopy made no evident moves, but he prepared himself to take them out in one move.
Suddenly an Ice dart shot out, creating a huge smokescreen, and Enopy's hand was grabbed as he was pulled into the air.
Soon broad woods was revealed in his sight; he was brought into the woods where the person stopped and let Enopy go.
Enopy got a good look at the person, but his sight was cut off by a huge hood, mask, and kimono that gave no hints about the figure of the person.
But Enopy was able to see the dark blue shiny eyes of the person and said,
"Why did you interfere."
"What! rude you should be saying thank you, Ku, unbelievable" the person scoffed and said, but its voice went from male to female at times.
"Nope, not doing it," Enopy said as he beamed through the air and grabbed the person by the neck; he couldn't tell the gender through the voice, but the way the person talked and acted, he could tell it was a girl.
"I'm not doing this, I know what's gonna happen. Something big is going to happen. I'm gonna save her, and she's gonna fall in love with me, and it's gonna be a whole mess that I don't want to deal with" Enopy thought in annoyance.
"Let me- go I'm the da- daughter of the city lord you can't- do this hooligan"_ the person said with a struggle.
"As expected," Enopy said as he rolled his eyes.
"fine!" he yelled in his head and continued out loud, "I'm way more powerful than that puny city lord. I'll let you go, and you will clear out every item in the treasury and bring them to me, or else I'll kill you and everyone else you care about, and remember I have tons of spies in the castle, so don't try anything. I'll meet you back here in 2 weeks if I don't see you I might destroy the city on the way to the castle, remember I warned you" Enopy made up lies trying to get benefits before he ran off at lighting speed.
"Hahaha, it would be great if I can actually get benefits before I leave" he soon appeared on the street and walked back to Ervice's house.
He got back to his training, but he still felt as if he wasn't getting anywhere, and he started to wonder what was happening with Ervice.
"Ugh, I keep on getting distracted. I am now able to last 5 seconds while using my fragrance and mind shield, but that's not enough," Enopy thought with annoyance.
"Enopy!" Just as Enopy was letting his thoughts wander, a shout sounded out.
Enopy instantly recognized the voice and leaped down the stairs.
"What do you want, Ervice."
"Huh, that's not how you speak to your master," Ervice said as he turned into a blur, appeared behind Enopy, and gave him a tight slap to the back of his head.
"You just love violence, don't you?," Enopy said as he rubbed his head.
"Hahaha, tryna be smart well if you want to be treated respectfully, then show me how much progress you made," Ervice said with a smirk plastered on his face.
Enopy cut the conversation short and walked over to the couch and sat down; he created a bubble around his head using his consciousness; he then sent out his fragrance, not limiting its range he was stable for a few seconds but 7 seconds and a crack appeared on his mind shield forcing him to retract it.
"Huu, retract your fragrance. I didn't expect much, but you did surpass my expectations here; putting this on will apply pressure on your consciousness, making it stronger and thicker at all times. Never take it off," Ervice sighed and said as he threw a rusted metal bracelet at Enopy and sighed.
Enopy retracted his fragrance and placed the bracelet on his wrist.
"You can't control your fragrance with the mind shield activated. You have a hard time clearing your mind. You're constantly distracted" Ervice made a quick deduction which he said out loud as he scratched his chin.
"I remember my side of the deal we will rob this place before you leave, but for now here," Ervice said as he unloaded a bunch of items out of his space ring.
