章節 62: Trick 61: Dodging Killing Curses left and right!
Hermione was shaking as she returned to the tent, Ace laughed and walked inside, putting his new broom away.
Coincidentally, it was time to start leaving for the match!
A little bit later
The entire group was going to their seats when they ran into the Malfoys!
Ace waved and said with a smile, "Lucius! Nice to see you again." Lucius frowned and replied "Mr. Brand… Charmed…" Ace turned to Draco and smiled "Have you studied properly over the summer?"
Draco swallowed and cleared his throat, "Of course!" Ace nodded, "Good! Don't forget those books I recommended for you. Your marks in Herbology are lagging behind the rest." Draco nodded silently before exchanging insults with Harry and Ron.
Lucius acknowledged Arthur's existence before turning to Ace as he left, saying "I hope you can continue to watch over Draco, Mr. Brand… Others are less worthy of attention, I think." Ace smiled and replied "All students are just learning, there's no difference at school, I believe."
Lucius snorted and replied "Is that so." Ace nodded and leaned on the railing as Arthur left with the rest, "Speaking of which, I heard you talked to Fudge about the Dementor problem?" Lucius turned to Draco and said "Go, I will be a minute." Draco nodded and left.
Lucius replied slowly "I have. They have been dealt with." Ace nodded and replied "Good. Hopefully the Ministry can keep them on a tighter leash, they shouldn't be allowed to wander, thankfully no student was harmed irreparably."
Lucius held onto his cane and nodded, changing the topic "Draco is performing well, I hope." Ace nodded and replied happily, "Very well. He is a bright boy, although a tad bit too prideful. I'm sure you know."
Lucius hummed and Ace continued, "However, he is a good boy at heart. I feel most of his shenanigans are just trying to impress his friends. Although the division of Houses at Hogwarts creates a bit of a competitive atmosphere, I do believe he hasn't taken any excessive actions, if you meant that."
He smiled and added, "He is just a child, he will mature. I'm sure he will make you very proud." Lucius stayed silent for a few moments before nodding "I hope he will." Ace replied "I'm sure he will. He can be anything he desires, he will be an excellent wizard in the future. I am under the belief that he could've been placed in any house."
He paused for a moment before chuckling "Other than Hufflepuff." Lucius snorted in amusement and replied "I see. Thank you for your care, Mr. Brand." Ace straightened out and smiled, "Of course. I help when I can. Have a nice time watching the match, Mr. Malfoy."
Lucius nodded and replied "Farewell." before walking away. Ace turned around and walked to the viewing area where Arthur was. Arthur looked at him and asked "And? He's a bit of a cunt, isn't he?"
Ace laughed and replied "A bit of a gloomy guy, I guess. He's very prideful, I can see where he dislikes you." Arthur waved his hand and replied "All Pure-Blood Wizards are like that. They believe they are superior, it's a slog." Ace chuckled, "I don't think there's anything wrong with pride, but I wouldn't take his words to heart, Arthur. You're also a very accomplished wizard, who cares what he thinks, you know?"
As he patted Arthur's shoulder. Arthur smiled and replied "I don't, thank you." Ace grinned and the Irish Quidditch team flew over their heads into the stadium.
They created a Leprechaun out of fireworks that danced an Irish Jig!
Ace clapped and watched as the Bulgarian team flew in, doing all sorts of stunts. Hermione clapped and said "Not as impressive…" Ace chuckled and Ron asked "Are you mad! That's the best team in the world!"
Hermione shorted and said "I know someone better!" Ron shook his head and turned to Harry, saying "A daft one, this one is!" Harry laughed and Hermione glared at Ron, who chuckled.
Ace and the rest watched the match, resulting in Ireland's win! Although Viktor Krum managed to catch the Snitch at the end, it was still not enough to secure the victory, losing by 10 points, ending 170-160 in Ireland's favor!

Anyway!
The group returned to the tent and Ace was sitting at the table, reading a book on Artifacts titled 'Artifacts and YOU! A guide to all things creatable! Vol. 76'. Hermione was practicing creating a small shield when a loud bang went off outside.
George chuckled "The Irish are celebrating! Hahaha!"
Ace looked at the opening of the tent, frowning. Hermione looked at him and asked "Master?" Ace said "Nothing." as he continued reading. Just moments after, Arthur ran in and shouted "Stop! It's not the Irish. We have to go. Quickly!"
Ace stood up and closed his palms together, making the book in between them disappear. He walked outside the opening and looked around at the fires and spells shooting around everywhere.
Arthur ran out and said "Ace! Come on, everyone! Together! Follow me!" Ace looked at the group as a crowd was squeezing everywhere. Ace turned his head to Hermione, who said "Let me fight with you, Master!"
Ace smiled and waved his hand, Hermione was sent flying into Arthur's group, getting carried away.
He clapped his hands and ran into a random abandoned tent, disappearing.
The Death Eaters casted fireballs all round, causing general panic and chaos.
However!
A cloaked figure appeared in the sky above them, creating a huge purple shield, saying with a distorted voice "Enough."
They looked up and said "Oh. The 'Hero'! Kill him."
Ace curled his lips, he was wearing a random piece of cloth he found, modifying it with his magic, creating a new cloak. He spread his hands out, casting out spells as the Death Eaters attacked him.
He jumped off the broom and made it disappear as he cast a shield up, blocking the Death Eaters from harming anyone else. The leader said "Poor choice to distract yourself with peasants! Avada Kedavra!"
Ace frowned and ran his hands up his arms, coating them in runic circles as he slapped the ground, a rock shooting up and turning to steel, blocking the Killing Curse.
The Death Eater clicked his tongue and waved his wand, the rock exploding as Ace shielded in front of him.
He rolled to the side as green lasers flew towards him. Ace slapped the ground, creating a barrier of rocks behind him, stopping the killing curse from hitting a random person. He rubbed his hands together as he ran to the side, pulling them apart as a ball appeared.
He said "Go." and dozens of purple snakes shot out of the orb, wrapping around Death Eaters before turning to steel. However, most of them waved the snakes off, laughing.
Ace took out his wand and flicked his wand out, "Stupefy! Immobulus!" he kept running as the Death Eaters threw spells at him, escaping from the snakes as they chased him.
Ace turned back and jumped in the air, circling his wand at the ground, saying "Radix Incrementum." before falling back into the earth, pointing his wand behind him, saying "Luto Effugium." as he sunk into the ground and disappeared.
The roots in the ground grew into huge ones as they coiled around the Death Eaters, who started shouting "Incendio! Incendio Maxima!"
Ace emerged from the ground behind the Death Eaters and threw out a shield above them. He twirled his wand ending with a flick as he said "Lux Carceris Maxima." The shield had spikes of light rain down on the Death Eaters, stabbing them through, sticking into the ground.
The spikes were only made of light and didn't cause harm, only pinned the Death Eaters into place, not allowing them to move.
However, Ace was severely underestimating Death Eaters…
One Death Eater, pointed his wand at another, struggling to even move his hand at all, saying "Tenebris Explosio." That Death Eater screeched inhumanely before exploding into black sludge, breaking down the light spikes.
Ace was stunned and shouted "You killed one of your own!?" The Death Eater laughed and flicked his wand, shouting "Avada Kedavra!" Ace frowned and pressed his hand in the air, creating multiple shields that cracked and shattered at the Killing Curse.
He cursed and rolled out of the way as multiple Killing Curses flew at him.
He pulled in the air as stone shields rose as he ran, throwing 'Stupefy' spells at them constantly, sending a few flying; however, the others turned into smoke and chased after him.
Ace jumped on a broom and flew into the sky, holding his hands out as beams of purple magic were fired at the Death Eaters, blocking their spells and knocking them out of the sky.
Ace stopped in mid air, diving down as a Death Eater popped up in front of him. The Death Eaters chased after him as he jumped off of the broom, disappearing into the ground!
A Death Eater pointed his wand at the ground, shouting "Bombarda Maxima!"
A massive hole was blown out of the ground and Ace appeared behind them, jumping on his broom again as he flicked out his hands. The tents around him turned into playing cards, shooting towards the Death Eaters, bombarding them.
Ace waved his hands, hovering in the air on his broom. Cards came together and formed a huge bird that attacked the Death Eaters. They flew around, battling the bird as Ace chased after them, flicking his hands at the Death Eaters on the ground, the dirt, covering their bodies and turning to steel.
He flipped his palm as a ball appeared, he flicked his other hand, a shield of cards blocking a killing curse. Ace threw the ball and it exploded into a net, pinning the Death Eater to the ground.
The Leader of the Death Eaters turned around and waved his wand, shouting "Imperio!" The bird paused for a moment and the rest fired spells at it, blowing it up. The leader turned to Ace and flicked his wand, saying "Let's go. Grab the rest."
The other Death Eaters flew off to their captured comrades as the Leader fought against Ace himself. Ace threw up shields to stop them, but the leader fired a flurry of spells at him, forcing him to defend himself.
Ace turned and flew away, trying to stop the others from being freed. He wasn't an idiot, obviously they wanted to stall him.
He twisted in the air and dodged a spell, gesturing behind him as a pillar of stone fired from the ground, shooting towards the leader, who slammed his wand forward, blowing it up.
Ace frowned and the leader shouted "Crucio!" Ace turned around and made a circle with his hands, forming a mirror instantly.
The leader was stunned as the Cruciatus curse was reflected back, causing intense pain for a split second. He shouted before grinding his teeth in hatred, chasing after Ace quicker.
Ace panicked slightly, "Oh boy, you went and made him pissed, Ace. Good job!" as he flew off, throwing spells behind him.
The Leader waved his wand back and forth, deflecting icicles, firebolts, lightning balls, cards, rocks, everything! Ace dove to the ground but the Leader pointed at the ground and shouted "Bombarda!"
The dirt exploded and Ace flew off his broom. The Leader grinned under his mask and said "Avada Kedavra!" Ace panicked and flicked his wand, "Acio Thunderbolt!" the Thunderbolt flew to his feet and Ace rolled out of the way, turning sharply and dodging the killing curse.
The Leader clicked his tongue and said "Clever." before turning around and seeing Aurors starting to appear. He snorted "You'll do well to stay out of our business, 'Cloak'!"
Ace stopped and turned around, frowning as he saw the Leader preparing to leave. He said "You're not going anywhere!" the Leader sneered, "Who's going to stop me? You?" Ace flew towards him and put away his broom as a pillar of stone shot out of the ground, diagonally, flying towards the leader.
The Leader snorted and waved his wand, a similar stone pillar, colliding with Ace's as the Leader said "A pity. I would love your head as a trophy." Ace took out his wand and it glowed purple as he said "You're not leaving."
The Leader sneered, "Avada Kedavra!" Ace shouted "Stupefy!" a reddish purple beam and a green beam collided and sparks escaped in the middle.
Ace frowned and gripped his wand tightly as the Leader grinned, leaning into it as the two beams fought back and forth. Ace was starting to sweat and the Leader looked around at the Aurors running this way.
He cursed and shoved his arm forward, the green beam overtook the reddish purple one, but Ace snorted and his eyes blossomed with purple light as the purple beam pushed back quickly.
The Leader cursed, "Damn you!" before waving his wand into the sky, sending both spells into the air as he turned into smoke, apparating away.
Ace shouted "Stop!" as he flew after him, however the Auror's fired at him, shouting "Stupefy!" Ace waved his wand, blocking them as he looked in the direction of the leader, only to see he had escaped completely.
He sighed and flew into the sky, disappearing as well.
