Magdalene felt her heart skipped a beat when she heard that Katherine was pregnant with Lucas child. She turned towards him to see his reaction but the man was ever calm. His expression stern and cold making people shudder.

Many people couldn't believe their ears although their was every possibility that this could be true. Everyone waited for the Lord's final say.

Katherine had a sense of joy and accomplishment on her face. She had a trump card that she could use to hold Lucas. There was no way he would abandon her and the child especially after hearing what she'd said.

"Are you sure about what you just said, lady Katherine?" Roderick asked with a frown on his face.

"I swear on my life " She replied.

It was no wonder why she was very bold even when stripping in front of everyone.

"Even the Lord and lady Morgan knows , they could detect it" She said throwing a challenging look at Lucas.

"The heartbeat it's obvious Lucas, she's carrying your child" Morgan added.
