"Mine."
Just that single word combined with the sinful scent that wafted from her made blood race to my groin. The edge of the billiard table crumpled in my grip as I forced my body to stay frozen.
"Get out!" I snarled again at Koda, and I knew my dominating scent struck fear in him as he recoiled violently.
"Flint, no!" He forced out with a grimace. "This is dangerous!"

"Flint!" Koda shouted in a panic.

I prayed Koda understood what I meant. There was no way anyone would be able to get near my mate or I right now without some sort of aid. I would rip them to shreds before they even made a move.
I didn't hear him leave, but all thoughts of him disappeared as soon as Dot's fingers pressed more firmly into my stomach.
"Careful." I panted as I stared down at her through half lidded eyes.
Her gaze was fixed straight ahead, just below my powerful chest, like she had never seen anything like me. And I suppose she hadn't. I'm sure I had a much more muscular physique than any of the scientists who raised her.
With all the might I could muster, goddess help me, I managed to take a step backward, but that only earned a whimper from her. I gulped loudly as she merely stepped forward to follow me. We continued this dance until she had me trapped against the far wall.
"You don't know what you're doing." My voice came out low and gravelly, like I'd just woken up.
