Cecilia's POV

"Denver…" I clung onto his shirt but he seemed more focused on his prey.

I looked at Henry but he didn't look interested in me. We were no longer friends or should I say, he was no longer courting me that I would use that to improvise.

It was a war.

He looked impatient to devour all of us.

"Since this is what you want. I will give it to you… hot!" Denver gritted his teeth as he walked forward.

Cold jolt of shivers rushed up my spine.

This was the first time I was experiencing war. It was something that could be negotiated or discussed but the both parties wanted blood spill.

Before my eyes, Henry transformed into a wolf and Laura also transformed, walking to Denver's side.

I unintentionally clenched my fist in anger. That was my spot. That was my position. That was my post.

But, I couldn't transform nor could I protect my husband.
