"Don't you know how humiliated I am right now?" Louisanna asked in a calm tone. 

Her gaze was expressionless, but Domhall saw a hint of pain in her eyes. Louisanna tried to act strong despite her heart breaking.

She didn't know how to handle the greatest humiliation she ever had— not to mention how she would catch up to the quota grade she must maintain for her course. 

Midterms are coming, and perfecting the following quizzes and exams would be impossible.

"Of course, I know. I've been watching you become a laughing stock in your room."

Despite the confusion, Domhall tried to maintain a stern expression and an authoritative voice. 

Louisanna's tears continued to fall, but unlike earlier, her eyes were fierce— as if they would tear down someone any second. Her misery made her emotions more intense than ever, which made Domhall's lips rise to the side.
