The party was about to begin and Camilla was in her room. Yes, her room. Her mother insisted the party be held there. That would make sense, since she was also celebrating her entrance as a family member, officially by law. They made a whole room just for her, but they knew Alex would probably sleep there with her, pretty soon. 

"I won't stay here without Alex." Camilla said, when Brianna tried to convince her to stay there until the wedding. 

"Why not? It will make things more special after you marry."

"I don't want to be far from him ever again. Maybe if nothing of that shit had happened, I could consider your offer, mother. But right now, I cannot rely on the future. I cannot trust it will happen the way we planned."
