Yitian bent down and reached out to Chao's hand, which was still hanging in the air before him. But then he quickly pulled his own back.

"I'm sorry," Chao said, feeling really guilty about his internal conflict.

"I get it, that's why I'm giving you time to think it over by yourself. We are together too much. You need to get used to me not being by your side at all times," he said and chuckled at Chao's horrified expression. 

Indeed, he was too clingy nowadays, and it would be really bad if this continued. It would make them lose their lives.
