Daemon had his focus on his ice cream. It was not finished yet, as he bought a big one, and for whatever reason, he had been slow in eating it.

Evelyn looked at him for a while longer, before changing the subject:

"Where is my ice cream? Why don't I have any?"

Daemon turned his eyes from what he was eating and looked at her with an obvious desire whether to help or not:

"Do you need some to calm down? We can share mine."

The last sentence made Evelyn remember something, and her eyes couldn't help but widen.

"Will you tell me next that the ice cream you have was the last serving available in the shop?"

It was Daemon's turn to be surprised, and he showed it in his dark eyes as he looked at her:

"How did you know?"
