章節 80: What's with the Cold Treatment? Again?
Alena woke up when the rays of light hit her face making her frown, she opened her eyes and took her time to adjust to the lights. She searched for her phone and found she overslept. She hurriedly grabbed her clothes from the cupboard and went to the bathroom. She came soon and went downstairs and saw her mother-in-law was reading the newspaper while Damon was watching some random stock news. She wished her mother "Good Morning".
Mother replied, "Good Morning dear, do you want to have breakfast"?
Alena replied, "Umm..yes mom and sorry for getting up late, it won't happen again".
Her mother "Why are you apologizing dear? It's completely fine. When I married Damon's father, I also used to wake up late, and my mother-in-law never scolded me. Let's go and eat".
Alena spoke, "Wait, you haven't had breakfast yet"?
Her mother replied, "No we were waiting for you".
Alena was lost for words, they were waiting for me and here I was sleeping like there is no tomorrow. I am really hopeless.
After having breakfast, Alena spoke, "Mom listen from now please don't wait for me when I am late, just wake me up or eat because you know you have to timely take your medicines and I don't want you upset your health over me".
Mother spoke, "But I want to eat with you".
Alena comforted her mother-in-law by saying "Mom I know, and I too want to eat with you, but you must promise me if I am late wake me up, and also I am a light sleeper. Damon chuckled at my words, and I glared at him, and he turned away.
My mother-in-law finally agreed to me and then we left for work. Actually I was walking, and he went to his car but paused when he saw me walking away from him. He spoke, "Will you walk to the office"?
I didn't reply, I just kept walking. I heard him saying "Is she again ignoring me?"
Damon spoke, "Alena ignore me all you want but right now please sit in the car, it is impossible to hail a ride here". Still, I didn't mind him and was walking.
Soon he came and grabbed my wrist and spin me around so that we can face each other. I shouted, "What the hell you are doing"?
Damon spoke, "You can clearly see what I want".
Alena shouted again "Leave my hand you pervert".
Damon folded my hands to my back and pulled me closer, I raised my free hand to slap him but he did the same thing to my other hand and I was trapped.
Damon spoke, "If you don't want to be embarrassed then come to the car like a good girl, or I will carry you even to the office so that my every employee can see it".
Alena roared, "Damn you! Leave my hand I will walk on my own". I walked to his car and sat inside.
Damon chuckled at her behavior and thought, "You always surprise me, my wife". He also joined her shortly.
