Even though am still bleeding
Am fixing me
Even though I still break again when I think of you
Am still Standing
Even if it feels like your smile is like a boulder on my heart
Am rebuilding me
A new version of me
The kind you could never break again
Still fixing me even if I relapse on the pain
Am getting over you
Even if I still think of you as I cry in the rain
People say love mends what's broken
But love was what broke me
But a different kind of love will pick my pieces
Self love,I'll put myself first
I'll learn to love me the way I love you
People call me strong and independent
But I had to be strong to move on
I had to be independent to learn to live without you!
You were a drug I was addicted to
I loved you to the point you could call it obsession
Call it love or obsession
That shit caught me up in depression
Though I don't give that impression
I've learnt to hide it cause of some situations
I fell on broken knee and asked you to come back
But you walked away from me
I still see you take those steps till this very day
Some things are just too painful to say
If this was a game
Then you really knew how to play
Cause even when you hurt me
Am the one who gets to pay
You messed me up in so many ways
Now I go to therapy
Not to need you
To learn to live without you
Something I Never thought I would have to do
Well I guess I was wrong too
Cause I let my tainted heart love you
