Dahlia's eye's glittered in excitement. Valnetina looked on, smiling but clearly exasperated. Sabrina laid down beside Avery like a cat watching something mildly interesting, and the harpy scrunched their eyebrows together as they tried to make sense of the strange creature. Bessie was already snoring.
"Pleeeeeease~ It's just a cute lil baby~ It could be a pet. Ooooo, or a familiar!"
Without even waiting for Valentina or anyone else to respond, Dahlia was already getting lost in her own thoughts and excitedly imagining her new life with the creature in her hands. Before she got too carried away though, the vampiress decided to try and control her enthusiasm.
"Ok, hold up. First of all, Dahlia, your schema has nothing to do with familiars. That's just not how your casting works."
"Nuh uh, I can make it work!"
Apologies for the delay. Updating daily was wonderful in its own way, but I ended up suffering for it and burt out. Hard. It was so bad that my writing was struggling, relationships were suffering, and my lack of proper rest almost made me crash my car to work one morning. Soooo, I took that as a combined sign to relax and take a breather.
I just burn out way too easilly and I'm kind of ashamed of that. Nonetheless, I have no plans to stop writing; I'll just need to pace myself better from here on. I hope those of you reading along with the updates will understand the reduced upload schedule and I sincerely thank you for your patience.
In other news, happy birthday to the book~ I missed saying this on the actual one year aniversary, but I still wanted to say thankyou for supporting me after having been writing for one year. There are a couple other milestones coming up soon, and I just wanted to say that I'm incredibly happy to have people who read and support my work <3
And as always, I hope you're having a wonderful day.
