I blinked my eyes open, the harsh light flooding in and blinding me. Tears streaked down my face, mingling with the remnants of pain that throbbed through my head. Surveying my surroundings, I took in the plain room with its white walls, a standard-sized bed, and a lone window casting a sliver of light into the space. The emptiness of the room left me disoriented. Where was I? How had I ended up here in this unfamiliar place?

As I pondered my next move, my gaze fell upon the door, light seeping through its edges. Hastily, I made my way towards it, only to find it stubbornly locked. Frustration surged through me as I ran a hand through my hair, a realization dawning on me – I had been kidnapped.
