"Those sneaky Earthlings! Every time we think we've got them, they slip through our pincers like sand!" he hissed, his tail lashing in frustration. "And those damned traps of theirs! We lost three units to explosions that came out of nowhere!"

His second-in-command, a slightly smaller scorpion with keen eyes, added, "And their shields, sir, they're like nothing we've encountered. Our attacks just bounce off them, as if they're teasing us."

Meanwhile, another team, this one made up of creatures with chameleon-like abilities, approached one of Caleb's team's resource points. They believed their color-changing skin and stealth techniques would protect them from detection and the dreaded traps.
