"Am I intruding? " He queried again.

"No, you are not," I say, lifting the pencil off the sketch paper.

"Alice led me here" He admitted. I thought as much. My cousin still playing the Cupid, rooting for Elliot and me to date.

"Wow, is this your studio?" His eyes sweep transversely across the room.

"Yes"

"You got a beautiful studio," He remarks. He couldn't keep his eyes from taking in his surroundings.

"Thanks, actually this was my late grandfather's studio. I guess I have inherited it"

"Your grandfather was a painter?" He asked.

"Yes, a famous painter in his days" I proudly said.

"Not surprised you turned out famous as well. I remember the exhibition you did years ago. You got art spectators talking for months"

I force a smile to acknowledge his remarks. Now those same spectators are going to change their perception when they find out I can't paint anymore.
