The morning after my rescue, and all the things that subsequently followed it, Jake and I went to my father's house. It was time for him to properly be introduced to Jake as my.. as my what? What were we in this story? What were we supposed to do now? This wasn't one of the older fairytales that most likely required us to get married before we could move on, so what was it that we needed to do to see this through?

Hahh. Well, I guess that I could worry about that later. Right now, I was too worried about the seven men that I had saved yesterday. Yes, they saved me as well, but I had done my part for them. And I knew that it was only a matter of time before I had to help them some more. Would I still be here during that time? Or would I have already moved on at that point? Would Winter even want to help these men when she came back into this life? What was going to happen to the people that I was trying to protect?
