章節 25: Vague Responses

After replying to his mother's messages, Gu Jianci sent a message to Yan Yuling.

[ Yuling, there is a delicious hotpot near the hospital. Do you want to try it together tonight? It's my treat. ]

After the message was sent, he waited for a while. When he got no reply, he closed his eyes and took a nap. 

Upon arrival, he was roped in to join the surgical team to perform a complex operation on a political figure. Then, he only rested for half a day before starting to work.

It had been three days since he saw Yan Yuling, and he missed her very much. Just as he was deep in thought, he heard a knock on the door and opened his eyes.

After seeing the Hospital director, he quickly stood up and asked, "Director, do you need anything?"

Entering the ward, the director asked, "Dr. Gu, did I disturb your rest?"

"Not at all. Director, please have a seat," Gu Jianci said with a smile.
