章節 157: Richard's Past(1)

"Hey! Wake up! We can't be late today the mages are coming!" Richard was wakened up by a black-haired boy.

"Just five more minutes" Richard turned back and tried to fall asleep again. The boy, however, did not let him do so. He kept on poking Richard.

"Fine! They are just some stupid mages anyway. What's the use of watching them choose someone to take away?" Richard got up from the haystack he was sleeping on.

"Don't say that! They are the only way we can leave this godforsaken town! If one them picks you as his errand boy and takes you to his tower we won't have to stay here"

"Yeah right! I heard they were gouging their servants' eyes if they made the tiniest mistake. There is no way in hell I will become their servant" Richard said as the black-haired boy dragged him to the town square.

"So, you want to stay in this little town all your life?"

Well, for those who are wondering why the sudden change in the MC. There was someone mentioning that Richard's character was just a pervert and that was all he ever going to be staying in the novel as. Of course, he is not. I actually had 3 events planned around him. Still seeing that I couldn't help but write this chapter. Normally Richard was going to say Leon was my childhood friend blablabla and that was the end of it. Then I decided to tell it this way instead. This way we get a more direct look into his personality and past rather than just some words. Don't forget every character in this book is the MC of their own novel and they all each have interesting pasts or plans so I might do this more frequently in the future. Also since the Game event hadn't started to pick up heat yet this is as good a time as any to tell Richard's story.
