I looked at them blankly. If it weren't for Emily waving her hands worriedly in front of my face, I would have stayed that way longer. I expected too much it seems. This was after all an authentically different world. It's entirely plausible for wine to not exist here. On a bright side, it may also be that it wasn't discovered yet.

I pushed my despair down and tried to dwell on that positive thought. I lifted my eyes to my companions and nodded to them in assurance. 

"I'm fine. I just thought I'd find some wine here. It's a kind of liquor made from fruits, mostly." I explained to dispel their doubt on my wellbeing. Gallahan, Emily, and Jinhan looked at each other in confusion. I know. I know. You guys are clueless. But honestly, showing them and letting them have a taste of it would serve as a far better explanation at this point.
