Adam mentioned the location of Birchwood Village.
Clay dismissed it at once: "There are quite a few bandits in that area, what do you want it for?"
"I've been there before."
Adam smiled: "The terrain there is pretty good, and if cultivated well, it could produce a lot of food every year."
"In that case, I might as well buy that piece of land and fulfill my desire to become a lord."
The reason was indeed quite reasonable. Many down-and-out aristocrats would think about acquiring a territory to regain their aristocratic status after becoming wealthy again.
It made sense for Adam to say this.
Clay nodded without asking more questions.
He had someone bring out a map and casually outlined that area.
"Is this enough?"
"Isn't it a bit much?"
Adam was somewhat surprised.
The area Clay had delineated was much larger than he had imagined before.
He had previously wanted only the area centered around Birchwood Village.
