Back inside the dining room, Axilla tried to move about with her duties like she was floating on air. She did not want anything to attract the young master's attention to her or make him report her audacious attitude to the king.

After breakfast Axilla moved around and assisted other palace maids in clearing the table.

Cortez, did you catch cold? Your left cheek is reddish" Larel asked in concern as she looked at her brother closely.

Khelan, hearing his wife's question, also looked at his brother-in-law.

Axilla stiffened for a moment when she heard this question. How was she supposed to explain to the queen whom she loved and respected so much that she slapped her brother. 

Axilla bit her lips when she remembered everything she had said to him earlier, her hands continued to tremble while she collected the plates on the table.
