Hazel opened her eyes groggily. She tried to move her body, but was too weak and didn't have any strength left in her to even lift a finger.
Her head felt so light, but her body felt so heavy. In the end, all she could do was to scour around her gingerly.
This was not in the hospital. She was no longer there. She was in a vast wheat field, but the area she was laying on was an open land with soft grass beneath her.
Zuri rolled over to lay on her back and saw the starry sky above her. Why was she here? Where was her baby? She didn't even know whether she had a baby boy or a baby girl. How pitiful she was right now and all she could do was lay like this, since she was completely drained of energy.
"Are you awake?" Judy's voice rang from her left side, which made Hazel tilt her head and look at her. She was holding a bundle in her arms and her expression was ashen. She didn't come closer and stood a few steps away from her.
