THE smell of the lavender perfume was exquisite. I squirted it all over my body. In every corner of my skin. I felt the fervent desire for Fiore to smell my let's-make-love scent as soon as he entered the room. I even place scented candles in their strategic places. I couldn't find any traces of flowers outside except for the dry leaves falling from the tall trees surrounding the house. Hence, that's what I spread at the foot of the bed. I wanted this moment to be perfect.

This will be my first time, so it's indeed hard to think of something sexy, or wild and hot. Fiore warned me of those naughty adjectives when we make love.

Sexy. I find the candles sexy. Fiore was also complimenting me every time that I'm sexy and I possessed a body to die for. I'll be the representation of that word.

Wild. There are wild, dried leaves around me.

Hot. The flame from the scented candles will make this room scorching hot.

And bold.

I smiled. I could think of so many choices to make myself bold and naughty. I'm merely being like this to the person I love the most. I want Fiore to feel very special.

I took off my clothes. I removed everything. I left nothing at all even my jewellery. I wanted to be bold. Bold in Fiore's eyes with nothing to hide and nothing to fear.

I glanced at my naked body in front of the mirror. He had never seen me like this before. I don't wear sexy clothes either. I'm extremely shy to reveal my skin. I'm as well not into things like this because I typically came from a conservative family. Fiore made me into something I didn't realize I could be. He made me feel like a real woman. And I'm glad we will be united as one. In a week, I will be Mrs Fiore Ilarde.

I grinned at the thought. Miranda Forbes Ilarde. I have even practised my new signature using Ilarde as my last name. I will need to digest those because I'll be Fiore's apprentice on all of his business transactions. He promised to make me one of his signatories too in their clan's business ventures. He will then hire me as the Vice President or Deputy Director of their company. And I'm so excited to be part of their family.

I lay down on the bed and hugged the incredibly soft pillow. The white light from the ceiling was too bright to look at. So I got up once again and searched for the switch. Next to the switch was the dresser with a slightly open drawer. I was about to close it when I saw a crimson cloth finely folded and flattened inside. I picked it up, and something told me to smell it and so I did. It's the smell of sandalwood with a touch of cherry. I tied it around my neck. This will be the only fabric I'm going to wear.

I settled myself back on the bed after I had turned off the lights. My chest throbbed over a few minutes. The two were still drinking outside. Xyle was teasing Fiore that these will be the last few days of him being a bachelor. So they agreed to have a drink, while Fiore led me to this room.

I took a deep breath. I'm ready. I want to do this. But I still couldn't stabilize my mind.

Sh*t, Miranda! Why are you so restless? Relax. Inhale, exhale.

For twenty-two years, I preserved myself. I never had any boyfriend but Fiore. He also took care of me for the three years that we were together. He never took advantage of me. He always respects me.

But I can't relieve the tension I'm experiencing right now. I removed the handkerchief that I tied around my neck. Why would I tie it around my neck anyway? Eh, what if I choke myself?

I tried to envelop it around my wrist. It's like I'm wearing a cheap watch. I removed it again and used it to wipe my sweating forehead. Then I realized I was already tying it to cover my eyes.

I grinned and cursed myself. What am I doing? I'm being ridiculous just giving up my virginity.

"Mir?"

I stiffened when I heard Fiore's voice.
