章節 63: Chapter 64: Knowledge, Slavers and Jedi
Alexander was trying to, once again, quantify his king's might so that he could know if he was wasting unnecessary energy or not. Alexander was able to only estimate the percentage left after usage. Alexander thought, " When I previously conquered any world, on assimilation, the crust of the world along with all the resources of the world compressed inside it, were added to my kingdom. According to geologists, all planets are divided into three layers: crust, mantle, core. If I consider them as neighbouring lands with tall buildings on them, conquering one land would give me ownership of all the buildings present on that land. So, if I apply this principle to the worlds then, conquering the surface area would give me ownership up to the crust of the world. The cost of conquering mantle and core increases by multiple times after each subsequent order. The amount of resources that I got from conquering the two whole planets was many times more than the combined resources of 13 worlds previously conquered by me. This means that not all the resources of the world are given to the king on the completion of conquest but only the amount of resources present in crust are given."
Alexander continued, " If I expect 1 point of king's might from the submission of a normal human then I should at least have 24 Billion KMP ( King's Might Point ), not including the population of Daul and inroids. The conquest of land does not give any KMP till it is assimilated with the kingdom." Inroids was the name given by Ark to the droids which were eligible for conversion, as specified by Alexander, Ballastians were not a creative bunch. As, Alexander was busy solving the mystery behind the king's might, the Director and Chairman were contacting with the slavers. The slavers that they dealt with, were more than happy to take the prisoners from them and were going to contact their superiors before answering them.
The Director brought Alexander out of his thoughts by reporting the events. Alexander instructed, " Sell only 1 million people who are chosen by me. Don't tell the slavers about others. Did you tell the number of prisoners to them? At what price do they buy a adult man and woman?"
The Director, " Your Majesty, we didn't tell them the exact number as we told them that we were still counting. The condition and skills of the slave decides the prize but on an average, a human adult male sells for 5,000 credits and female for 8,000 credits. Are we going to sell the women, also?"
Alexander, " No, we are not going to sell women." Alexander had no plans of selling women and children to slavery ever. Alexander then send the Director away and turned his attention to the training of the Ballastians. The elves and matrons were educating the Ballastians about the different emotions and feelings and the reasons for experiencing them. The psychiatrists were also called in order to help the little ones. There were many funny and happy moments occuring on the continent raised by Alexander for Ballastians. Alexander could also observe an emotional bond being formed between the caretakers and the little ones. Alexander smiled softly and resumed his meditation. What Alexander didn't know was that Ark had sensed his presence and mood. Ark was intimately connected with Alexander and could always sense him. Ark smiled happily and then turned his attention towards others and started attending his lessons.
Alexander had started his awakening process. Alexander had awakened a total of 65 million cells in the previous year. Alexander sat down before the realm gate and drew a massive conversion runic circle on the ground then Alexander activated the circle and put up a boundary that didn't allow any magic to escape outside. Alexander pulled in more force inside the cave and watched as force was converted into magical energy. When massive amount of magical energy was generated, Alexander absorbed all the magic to awaken his cells. Alexander had managed to awaken 10 million magic cells in one go. Alexander was delighted and decided to continue the process but before Alexander could continue, he sensed some people entering the planet on which he had created Ark. Alexander was confused because it had been one week since the rebirth of Ark and no one had entered the planet as the nearest person was only 3 days away. Alexander had peered into the past and saw that the Jedi had broadcasted the planet as a dangerous one and the Senate enforced it so no one dared to go near the planet. Two patrol ships were also stationed above the planet, since, they were beyond the territory claimed by Alexander, he had not sensed them. Moreover, Alexander was busy strengthening his soul so he had not paid attention to the happenings on the planet.
Alexander watched as the people who he recognised as bounty hunters parked their ships near the opening of the caverns and started to setup some specialized equipments. Alexander was now interested to know the identity of the employer as the equipments looked quite sophisticated by Galactical standards, such things were not available in mid rim. Alexander watched as they began mapping the underground caves with the help of recon droids. Alexander did not pay much attention to them and returned to D-1. The chairman gave him a flash drive which contained the knowledge in relation to the general fields of the galaxy, which was of no value to core worlds but quite precious to the mid rim and outer rim worlds. As for Alexander, this knowledge was priceless.
Alexander didn't want to copy the knowledge of the galaxy but wanted to combine the technology of his kingdom and the galaxy to form a more powerful technology. Alexander had watched the motherboard of a low grade droid and that differed so much from the one used in his kingdom that Alexander would not have been able to identify it, if he not previously known about it. Alexander moved back to his kingdom and called for a conference with all the scientists of his kingdom. There were millions of scientists in his kingdom. Alexander ordered them to understand the principles behind the galactical knowledge and try to combine both the technologies. Alexander wanted his scientists to improve the technological base of the kingdom. Alexander divided the acquired knowledge into numerous parts and allotted 3 different team of scientists to study it. The teams were forbidden from contacting the other teams working in the same field and the other teams working in different areas were forbidden from acting as middlemen. Every three days, a joint conference between the teams working in the same field will be held and ideas would be exchanged there. All the scientists started buzzing in excitement and Alexander had to calm them down. Alexander had given all the knowledge to only one group of scientists and they were the mad scientists. The mad scientists were a creative bunch and would be the main force behind the development of kingdom.
Alexander returned back to Dual and increased the rate of time between this world and his kingdom by 10 times for one week. Alexander then turned his attention towards the bounty hunters and saw that they had lost much of their droids in the caves as Alexander had made the caves unstable. As Alexander was watching the struggles of the bounty hunters, Alexander sensed some big ships entering into Daul's atmosphere. Alexander knew that the slavers were here. Alexander had some other plans in selling his criminal subjects as slaves. Alexander wanted to know the true extent of slave trade and other such activities in the galaxy. These people will act as Alexander's spies.
The trade had done without a hitch and Alexander earned 5.6 Billion credits from the trade. Alexander also subjugated 100 off- world slavers to act as spies. It was a known fact that the slavers used unknown hyperlanes and had secret star maps which helped them in evading the authorities. Alexander had subjugated those members of the crew who were responsible to navigation and repairs. Alexander had obtained 15 new routes from their minds and also a list of clients, space stations and planets used by slavers as resting points, places where auction for slaves were held and other related stuff. Alexander planned to end the slave trade once and for all so he first needed to know everything about it. Everyone related to slave trade would be given the punishment of painful death by the hands of sadists.
Alexander watched as the bounty hunters hurriedly packed their equipments and run away. The Jedi arrived on the planet in a few hours and Alexander started to observe them. There was a team of 13 Jedi who had entered his kingdom. They were mixed group consisting of beings led by a small green alien. Alexander immediately recognised Yoda. The Jedi send out recon droids and sat down on the ground meditating on the force. Alexander sensed them as they communicated with force asking for guidance. Alexander had not opened himself up to force completely as the first experience is quite overwhelming, depending on the midichlorians count in the cells. Alexander had at least a million midichlorians but he was not able to count them all, the midichlorians were microscopic organisms so counting them was quite tough. Alexander wanted someone to be present with him in order to pull him back if he delved too deep inside the force, many force sensitives had become one with the force in ancient times when they delved too deep in the force without precaution. Alexander wanted to first integrate his soul completely in his body and then delve in the force. This will be a source of assurance for him.
Alexander didn't try to listen onto their conversations as Alexander was quite sure that his spying would be detected through force. Alexander though tried to read their lips, here Alexander learned of another frustrating habit of Jedi, they liked to talk through telepathy, Alexander was not able to learn anything from watching them, frustrated Alexander returned to plan his next step.
WITH THE JEDI:
Master Kessh, a rhodian Jedi Master spoke up, " That presence is gone. We can resume our activities."
Everyone took a sigh of relief and the twi'lek Jedi Master said in a puzzled tone, " Who that presence could be?"
Master Yoda spoke up " Don't know, who that presence is? Master Genusha tell us, wanted what that presence?"
Master Genusha, a female Torgunta , who was the best Jedi in sensing emotions of others, said, " The presence was not full of malice, it was simply observing us. It was curious about our activities but left frustrated when it found nothing. It was like dealing with the younglings at the temple but it was powerful, extremely powerful."
Master Yoda said in a serious voice, " Master of concealment that presence was. Found nothing about it, we had when meditating on the force. Master Kessh it was, who sensed the presence and warned us. Thankful to Master Kessh, I am. Probably saved our lives, he did."
Master Kessh said in an embarrassed face, " It's nothing, I was only doing my duty."
Master Genusha said in serious tone, " We should check all the nearest planets for this person. There has been only 6 days since the incident. We came here on the fastest starship available to the Jedi from the capital. Even if he had a starship faster than us, he would have to stop at the nearest planet to refuel or repair for the returning journey."
The Twi'lek jedi master spoke in a serious tone, " We will have to investigate all the planets and also the people who had entered or left the planet. We cannot rule out anyone."
Master Yoda said in a grave tone, " Check all the planets, we will. Contact the Jedi Temple we should. Call for more Jedi masters, we should. First, fully investigate this newly created nexus we should. Such things don't form without any significant event happening in the galaxy. The amount of force pulled towards this planet was lot more than currently present on this planet."
Master Kessh, " Did someone perform some sort of force ritual like those performed by sith of the old? Look at the damage to the surroundings. Some of the craters are different from the others. These craters look like some sort of humanoid being had rampaged here while those craters look like they were formed quite uniformly, they have the same cracks and debris around them but they are uniform in design. The scanners of the ships and equipments would tell us that a battle took place here on ground zero,to the trained eyes, this is a different story. Someone tried to cover up the damage caused by whatever that had originally damaged the place. I must say that whoever it was, was quite an expert in covering his or her tracks. I personally think that some sort of force ritual was performed and whatever creature was born out of that, had rampaged here. The one performing the ritual did this to cover up his tracks and left."
Master Yoda said in a grave tone, " Serious, extremely serious, this matter is. Meditate here we will, ask the force for guidance we will. Send the reinforcements to nearby planets we should. Thoroughly investigate this matter we shall. A signal of dark tidings, this anomaly can be. Vigilant we must be."
All the Jedi masters nodded with serious expressions and once again went into deep meditation to search for answers except Master Kessh, who went on to contact the Jedi Temple and monitor the droids released by his companions to explore the underground caverns.
