章節 18: Chapter 19: Meeting , Easy conquests and Making Plans
( Author's Note: This chapter is a filler chapter before the starting of the next volume. I have not invested much effort into it. This chapter contains stuff about MC's kingdom and changes in it. )
Alexander was seated in his throne chair thinking about the next world he should conquer. Alexander was thinking about conquering one magical and one or more unranked worlds. Alexander could now open two portals to different worlds simultaneously. Alexander can now open one portal to a lower ranked world and one portal to a higher ranked world. As Alexander was making plans about his next invasion, a few hundred people entered his room. They were watching curiously around the hall and open noticing him, they all bowed and said, " Greetings!! your majesty."
Alexander said, " Rise, I have gathered you all here to discuss about building a sufficient infrastructure in my kingdom. I want you all to first form groups according to your respective departments. Now, I order you all to select the most capable person among you to be your head, on both basis that person is to be selected I will leave that to you but the selection must be without any kind of discrimination or malpractice. I have certain qualifications that I want, the head of any department must be a good planner, forward thinker, can deal with pressure easier and must have good management skills.You all have one month to decide. Now, you all can go. Till then you will take care of your respective countries. When all the personnel are selected, I will abolish all the countries and there will be only the citizens of Fortis Empire on this land. Now you all can go."
Alexander then moved towards the realm gate. Alexander planned to conquer at least 10 unranked worlds with basic civilizations within this month so that his kingdom can have ample resources and manpower to conquer their next major world. Within the next one month, Alexander fulfilled his aim of conquering the unranked worlds. The worlds he had conquered all were all part of different multiverses so there would be no problem of different versions of a same person running around. The worlds he had conquered were from the period of Renaissance to the period of the Industrial Revolution. Alexander choose this period because it was during this period that humanity had made it's most progress. The amount of brilliant thinkers, artists and philoshphers that cropped up during this period were numerous. Alexander planned to use these people to form the culture, art and architecture of his kingdom. Many would think about that too many artists would destroy the culture of kingdom but the presence of so many competitors along with the modern knowledge about architecture, construction, art and music would inspire the artists as many things that they thought would not be possible to be made, can now be made. It would give their imagination wings and help them to truly achieve their full potential. The scientists also would benefit from the modern knowledge and many things that they did not understand would now be made clear to them. They invent new things with their newfound knowledge. Alexander also removed the knowledge about the persons who had made these new discoveries so that the counterparts of these scientists and artists don't get any false sense of accomplishment. Alexander also planted subtle suggestions in their minds so that they would only focus on their newfound knowledge and make some use of it and don't try to guess the people behind discoveries. Moreover, the allure of massive rewards would also help to motivate these people.
Alexander arranged the conquered worlds in similar manner as the mummy world. All the continents were joined together forming a gigantic continent which was ten times the size of the land area of original earth. Both the poles of the newly conquered worlds were merged with the the poles of his kingdom. The resources were divided into ten continents on the west along with the wildlife and forests in the west. Alexander planned to eventually merge all the continents into the mainland so as to avoid the hassle of moving the citizens to and fro. The unintended consequence of conquering so many unranked worlds was that his kingdom level increased by one level and now became star level- 3 but Alexander knew that this method of increasing the level of his kingdom is not right as the resources and population will increase but the individual power of the citizens will not increase. Alexander only decided to use this method when he urgently needed manpower and resources.
Alexander had to modify the thinking of some of his subjects to suit the modern era. Alexander did so because he did not want anyone to destroy the harmony of his kingdom. The total population of his kingdom was now 8 billion as due to his conquering many deaths due to various wars, plagues and diseases would not happen. The new subjects after learning from the history of mummy world about the various wars, diseases and plagues that would have occurred in their worlds and lives that would have been lost, had become fanatical followers of Alexander. Alexander did not know what to think about this but he did not let it overly bother him. Alexander now wanted to meet his new advisors as the one month time limit was now up.
Alexander ordered all the people to assemble in the throne room on the next day. Each group was led by their chosen man. Alexander decided to enforce gender equality in his kingdom. Alexander then broadcasted his order to all his citizens, " MY SUBJECTS!!! I AM ALEXANDER FORTIS, THE KING OF THIS EMPIRE. I HAVE SOME ORDERS FOR ALL OF YOU. FROM TODAY ONWARDS, THERE WILL BE NO MORE COUNTRIES AND KINGDOMS ON MY LAND. ALL OF YOU ARE NOW THE SUBJECTS OF THE FORTIS EMPIRE. ALSO, THE WOMEN OF MY KINGDOM WOULD HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS AND DUITIES AS THE MEN OF MY KINGDOM. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY DISCRIMINATION AMONG MY SUBJECTS ON BASIS OF ANY GROUND. THE WOMEN NOW WILL GET EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AS ANY MAN. ALL CRIMES ARE FORBIDDEN IN MY KINGDOM. MAY WE REACH THE PINNACLE OF THE ENTIRE EXISTENCE. I HOPE THAT YOU ALL WILL WORK TOWARDS THIS GOAL."
Alexander then turned to the men present before him, " I have an additional order for you. You will conduct a exam after 6 months for all the personnel in your departments in which both men and women can participate. Only those who pass will be appointed. I also order the induction of women in military but they will have their separate army till I can be sure that men will not behave like pigs. I hope you do your duty properly as punishment of negligence is death." Even if Alexander had given the order to his whole kingdom, he didn't underestimate human resourcefulness. He was sure these people will find a way around his orders. Alexander could not micromanage every aspect of his kingdom so he needed an efficient breaucracy to manage his kingdom for him. There would be chances of corruption but the next world he was going to conquer would be the solution of all this.
Alexander then continued, " I want the Health Department to provide free healthcare to all the citizens and the Education Department to conduct kingdom wide tests to test the extent to which they have understood the knowledge they had taken from the fire of civilization. I want the Finance Department to form a new currency for the empire. I want the formation of a Resource Allocation Department which would draw the plan for the allocation of different mines and oil rings across the mainland as I would merge the ten resource continents with the mainland in future, the Resource Allocation Department would coordinate with the Military Affairs Department in order to draw supply lines and essential routes for transportation of resources. The Urban and Rural Development Department would focus on the development of the respective areas and the Food Department would deal with the production, distribution, storage of food products. All the factories would be state owned. I want every citizen of my empire to have at least basic soldier training. I also want to increase the amount of soldiers in my army. How many can be recruited without hampering the other activities of the kingdom is up to you for decide. But know this if kingdom falls then you all will die along with it. I want a proper defense plan drawn up in order to combat an invasion. The resource allocation department would also be responsible for adjusting the topography of land for this you would coordinate with all the other departments. I have many important jobs to the resource allocation department so I would be periodically checking you but I will check others also. I order you to give your all to fulfill your tasks to your best capacity. You have two months to complete your plans. Till then I would be searching for the next world we are going to conquer. I hope you don't disappoint me. You can all go now."
The officials bowed and left. Alexander scanned their minds to see if someone was planning to neglect their duities. Alexander found that they were truly excited to fulfill their duty and also held awe for his foresightness and planning. They were truly loyal to him. Alexander for the next two months trained his martial skills with the best men he could find. His ability made sure that he easily adapted to the different fighting styles. Alexander also practiced mastery of his elements. Alexander felt that his elements had not fully awakened yet. Alexander also searched for the world he wanted to go to.
Alexander's officers had completed their tasks and had drawn up their plans. The plans drawn up were truly good. The resources and military presence was divided into seven rings with the innermost ring having the heaviest military presence and the outermost having the lowest. Alexander was also shown the plans of his palace. The artists had finally developed the architecture of his kingdom. It was a unique blend of Roman and Greek architecture. Alexander was sure that the addition of modern architecture would truly create a unique and beautiful architecture for his kingdom. The main palace building was massive having an area of 10,000 square kilometers and the grounds had an area of 30,000 square kilometres. Alexander did not understand the need of such a large palace but did not protest. The palace was pure white with gold and gems inlaid in it's walls serving as material for various designs. The palace also had his statue made of gold. Alexander also ordered the building of the palace around the pillar of his kingdom. Alexander had the platform placed at the innermost portion of the palace inside a secret chamber. Alexander also stationed the terracotta army inside the secret chamber. Alexander waited for the construction of the secret chamber to be completed after which he using the king's might removed the knowledge of the secret chamber from the minds of all those involved. As the fire of civilization can be accessed remotely, there was no need for anyone to know the location of the platform. Alexander also ordered the military to construct an underground base where all the military knowledge of the empire would be stored. Alexander also designed the flag of his kingdom. It had a golden fist on a Royal purple background with platinum border.
Alexander stood before the realm gate and opened the portal to the next major world he was going to conquer. Alexander took a deep breadth and entered the portal.
