As Julio finished the last of his breakfast, Théo came up the stairs. “Excuse me, Alpha, Alpha Mate, Pierre is at the door. They’re waiting for Alpha Mate Julio.”

“Go on with you. I’ll be less growly when I see the result, and I am determined to see the result tonight.” Julio wiped his mouth, got out of his chair, kissed Etienne and then ran up the stairs.

After Julio made it out the door; Etienne, followed him downstairs, and went to the great room to fetch his newspaper. He strode over to the table in the family dining room and opened up the Times. Gilbert walked into the room and startled Etienne.

“Excuse me, Alpha,” Gilbert sputtered, “Bianca wants to know if she should make another pot of coffee.” Etienne turned his head toward Gilbert.

“No, no more coffee. I may just go and check this Zachary’s out.”

“Eh…Alpha, that wouldn’t be a good idea.”

Etienne arched his brow. “And why not?”
