“I don’t hurt when I move or bend.” Julio scooped up some eggs. “That happened overnight.”

“Today’s MRI should give us an idea of how well you’re healing. No matter what the MRI says, we will be married on Sunday. If you’re clear, we’ll travel to Highland Park and plan the mating for Wednesday of next week.” Etienne sighed. “We’ll have to travel to Chicago, but on the bright side, it’s not winter, and all the Mates will be with you so you won’t lack for company.”

“You seem to be so stressed, I feel bad.” Julio raised his hand and cupped Etienne’s cheek.

“I want you. Even more after last night. My nerves are stretched so tight. When we go to Highland Park, I may find it difficult to be in the same room with you if there’s a flat surface.” Etienne chuckled.

“If that’s the case, you have iron control. I’ve just started to feel better, and I’m climbing the walls.” Julio turned back to his food and buttered his toast.
