Xiang Ling returned to her bed-chamber after taking a long bath and washing her hair. Every cell in her body was filled with energy as she felt refreshed after spending hours cultivating and then cleaning her body. Dressed in a silk nightgown that left her arms, shoulders, and collarbone exposed, she made her way to put out the lanterns.

She was done blowing them out when she heard the knocking. Recognizing the person outside, she hurried to open the door and welcomed Wei Guang inside.

"Did I disturb you?" He asked as he let her pull him toward the bed.

Xiang Ling shook her head in negative before she made him climb on the bed and then joined him. "Get rid of these." She demanded while pulling on his outer robe.

Wei Guang looked slightly stunned at her actions. With hesitation, he asked, "Are we... not sleeping?"
