章節 20: Soul transfer
Natasha checked on Donna's body. She couldn't believe herself that she's possessing someone again. After John performed an exorcism on her, she lost all her powers to interact with humans. She was lucky because she was the only soul that ever survived after that. John believed that's because Natasha had a pure heart.
Natasha always felt that she was getting stronger but interacting with humans is too soon for her. She searched for Donna's soul inside her body but it vanished. She checked on herself and her clothes. That time John became angry and asked again,
"What do you think you are doing Nat? Possessing her like this. You know it's not good for a soul like you. Possessing other people is against the law of the gods. And don't forget you will only absorb their negative attitudes and bad habits from them. You might turn a ghost inside her and become bad like the rest of the souls. Even if it isn't the case, why did you possess my girl?"
Natasha looked at John. Her face kept a naughty smile. She said,
"Your girl? When did she become your girl? As long as I know I'm always with you and I never saw her confess her love to you and you never said anything to you either. Then how is she your girl?"
John's face looks embarrassed. He was trying to find words to counter her. But nothing came to his mind. He turned around and said,
"Just get out of her body Nat. I don't want to exorcize you once again."
Donna's (Natasha's) face pouted as she looked at John. She started running, pushing and doing all sorts of weird stuff. John concentrated on finding things about the basement. He found a photo of some farmers. He thought they might be the family who lived here.
He looked at the carvings on the walls again. They were from another religion but looked similar to his. John realized that whoever made this fake religion copied his religion's holy book perfectly. Using a stolen theory to boost their own beliefs is just unfair, John thought.
Why can't they make something of their own? He was too frustrated inside. While he was thinking he heard a sound and looked back. It was Donna, she fell down.
John ran towards her to help her get up. He picked her up and she said,
"John. I think we have a problem. I think I'm stuck inside here. I can't get myself out of her."
John become angry and said,
"If you can't get out then why did you even try to possess her? You never did this before. Why now and why her."
Donna also became angry. She said,
"How should I know? You are the one who pushed me towards her. I didn't even understand that I possessed her. At first I felt heavy. Then I realized that I'm not floating but walking. I thought it was odd when I felt the cold inside this room and that rotten smell came out of it. But I was thinking that my powers are coming back to me. It's not completely my fault it's yours too so quit blaming and start finding an option."
John calmed down and thought. I have no idea what to do about it. Nat survived the exorcism last time but I didn't know that she was a good soul that time. But now I know she's a good one and I don't know if she will survive again. So an exorcism is not an option. I have to find another way. But first I need to find a way to get out of here. What will I do?
Natasha was trying her best to get out of Donna's body. But she was afraid that if there is no soul of donna inside and then she gets out of her, there is a possibility that she might end up dead. It's all too risky even to think about it so she stopped thinking.
She tried to put up her hand and push her way out but Donna's body responded and copied her movements which ended up in her running forward. She tried to stop by holding onto the walls and the wall broken and her hands gone inside. John looked at her and said,
"Stop doing your foolish things with her body. First let's find a way to get out of this place. What if she is still watching everything and remembers it?"
Natasha hesitated to say something to John and he realized it. He told her to say it to him whatever it was. She told to him in a calm voice,
"Look John. Don't be shocked. Just try to stay calm. I'm not sensing Donna's soul here anymore."
That hit John like a lightning. He asked,
"What do you mean she's not there?"
She looked down and said,
"I've been trying to find her soul ever since I realized I possessed her. But I'm not able to sense her right now. But don't worry she's not dead. We soul's cannot possess a dead body. Only evil demons can possess a dead body."
John was having a volcanic explosion inside his mind. He has faced many problems till that day but this is the most fearsome he ever felt. There is only one way he knows how to get Natasha out of Donna's body. Which is an exorcism. But if he does an exorcism, there is a chance of losing Natasha. And now without knowing where Donna's soul is, removing Natasha's will might end up killing Donna and Natasha.
He decided to let them be like that for the moment and focused on the next problem at hand. Getting out of the basement. When he thought to go back and look at the hole he came down, he felt a cold breeze coming out of the holes made on the wall by Natasha. How come a basement gets a cool wind? He looked into the holes but it was so dark.
John tried to remove the wall. That time he realized it's a doorway which was covered by planks by someone. He removed the planks and started walking through it. Natasha followed him. It was going down words. He was using the phone's flashlight. Within minutes he saw some light. He walked towards it.
Slowly he reached the end and realized that he's inside the well. He looked around with the flashlight. It had the same carvings all around the walls. Slowly he understood it was not a well but a doorway to hell. The missionary kills innocent people and uses black magic to send their souls to hell. The souls go to hell and come back that way. And when they return they will turn into evil spirit's.
He took some photos of the walls and walked back. He wanted to take some books with him but he is not sure he can get to the top, let alone carrying some books with him. So he decided to go back to the church and come back for the book's later.
John and Natasha reached the place where he and Donna fell into. He looked up and said,
"This is such a problem. How do you think we can get up there? She must be late to get home too. What will we do?"
Natasha looked at John. He turned his gaze away because he didn't want to think that Donna and Natasha are one. Natasha looked up and started trying something. Slowly she started floating. Her logs are completely in the air.
John looked at her in amazement and asked,
What do you think you are doing Nat?"
Natasha closed her eyes and said,
"Just hold onto me. Let me try"
He was too embarrassed to touch Donna without her permission. But he realized there is no other choice. He came closer and hugged her and held onto her. Natasha flew up and they reached up. They both landed on a safe place inside the hall. John told Natasha to get out of there quickly. They both walked out.
On the outside John thought if she told before that she could do that, he should have brought the books with him. Well no point thinking about it now. He looked at her and told her,
"Look Nat. You have to go to Donna's house as her. Let me find a way to seperate the both of you safely. Until then you think you can manage being like her. Please don't do anything bad."
Natasha pouted and she told him that she won't do anything bad.
John thought about it for a while and then he told her to go back to Donna's house. Then he decided to take her back himself. On the way he saw Ben and told him about everything. He dropped Natasha at Donna's house and left.
Natasha as Donna walked towards the house. She didn't feel anything different than getting into her own house. She opened the door and walked in. She saw Maria in the kitchen and looked at her. Maria was cooking something.
Watching Maria Natasha remembered her own mother and felt like Maria is her real mother. She walked towards her and hugged her from behind. Maria realized it's Donna and turned. Natasha as Donna hugged Maria so tightly. That time Maria asked,
"What happened to my little princess? Why is she so huggy huggy?"
Maria asked like she's asking a child. Natasha said,
"I missed you so much mom."
After saying that she hugged her more. Maria felt a warm feeling getting into her from Donna.
After a while Natasha opened her eyes. She felt taller. She looked at the one hugging her and she realized that she was holding Donna in her hands. Which means Natasha is inside Maria now and Donna was unconscious…
