章節 2: Unknown
Tentacles shot out from Seiko's back and try to impale Anubis. Right before they made contact, they stopped in place. A katana had pierced Seiko through the chest. When she turned around, she saw a man holding the blade. He was a dark-skinned young man with large biceps and the most beautiful purple eyes ever seen that shined like crystal shards. He had dreadlocks, a black mask, a camo hoodie, and black pants.
A tentacle from the floor shot at him, but he dodged and kicked Seiko into the wall. The debris from the wall fell on top of Seiko and buried her.
He looked back to Anubis. "Are you ok?" He asked concerningly, yet coldly. "What team are you from?"
"T-Team?"
The debris shot out and scattered all over the entrance hall. Seiko was completely unphased. She growled at them as her neck contorted.
The boy put the katana back in the sheath and grabbed the handle. Seiko charged at him, roaring, and breaking all the windows. The boy unsheathed his sword and water appeared at the end of it. His sword became engulfed with water and he slashed up, sending Seiko flying into the ceiling and to the roof.
"Look, we don't have time to play games. Hurry up and find your team."
The boy jumped through several stories of floors up to the roof. Anubis was still greatly confused. However, she didn't have time to rest. More tentacles popped out of the ground. She had nowhere to go. She was completely surrounded. They grabbed onto her body and began pulling her body in different directions. "Stay back... Stay back!" Her arm started to get ripped off as she saw her flesh disconnect. She had never felt that much physical pain in her life. Tears began flooding her face and dropping down her black fur. "I said STAY BACK!!!"
Suddenly, a massive burst of black mist exploded from Anubis' body, making all the tentacles corroded and wither away. She began to claw at her own head in horror.
"N-No... not again. Not again, not again, not again, not again. Not again!"
She looked up and saw the boy getting choked out by several tentacles coming from Seiko. Anubis's body wouldn't stop shaking, but she felt like she had to help in some way.
Suddenly, a memory played in Anubis's head. She was sitting on the lap of her human father. They were painting, which was one of Anubis's favorite activities as a kid.
"Daddy, why do kids at school bully me? Did I do something to make them hate me?"
Her father's face grows a frown. He had to think carefully before he spoke, but he couldn't find the right words to say.
"Humans are... complicated creatures. People are complicated creatures. They hate what they don't understand and fear the unknown. You're different and special."
"I-I don't wanna be different... I want to play with the other kids... I wanna be like the other kids."
He knelt down to Anubis and rubbed her head. He tried to force a smile for his daughter to give her a bit of hope.
"Anubis, you have a gift. And that gift will lead you to your purpose. I know you'll go on to do great things, my sweet sugarcane. I know you'll do amazing things in your life. Remember to treat others how you want to be treated. If you want people to help you, then help them back, even if they hate you. As long as you respond with kindness, you'll always be the victor."
Back in the present, after the memory finish, Anubis stopped clawing at her own skin and looked down at her bloodied nails. She looked up and took a deep breath. She jumped carefully from floor to floor and managed to sneak behind Seiko. She kicked her in the back, sending her stumbling forward. The kick alone had much more force behind it than any of the boy's sword swings and he was shocked by her absurd physical strength.
The boy was released from the tentacles as Seiko got back up. She growled at them again as all her wounds healed up.
"Well, that's not good." said the boy.
Anubis's body was shaking with fear of the unknown. She finally understood how other people saw her. It was how she felt right in that moment. Once the boy saw her shaking body, he immediately knew she had no clue what was going on.
"Hey, what's your name?" the boy asked.
"A-Anubis."
"I'm Yoshi. I don't know who you are or how you've been in a beast transformation for so long, but you need to run. I-"
Before Yoshi could even finish his sentence, something or someone crashed on top of Seiko, making a giant smoke cloud around her. When the dust cleared, they saw Seiko had her head completely crushed and someone was on top of her. A woman whose fists were covered in Seiko's blood. She had ocean blue eyes and short white hair that covered one of them. She had on a dark blue long-sleeve shirt and a white above-knee length skirt with dark brown leggings.
Both Anubis and Yoshi's bodies froze up by her sheer dominating presence. Her aura filled them both with immense anxiety. Faster than the eye could see, the woman appeared behind Anubis and chopped her on the neck, knocking her out. The white-haired woman grabbed her and began to princess carry her away.
'Sensei, wait!" Yoshi exclaimed. The woman turned back to Yoshi with a smug expression. "What the hell is that girl? She hasn't detransformed yet."
"And she's not going to." The white hair woman responded. "This girl has been fully transformed for the past 16 years."
"H-How is that even possible?"
"I'll explain later. For now, return to the S.D.A. (Skyfall Dance Academy). I have some business to take care of."
