章節 64: Chapter 63: Girls' Day

After an hour...

Asuna and Misumi completed the task of cleaning and organizing their new rooms.

"Shall we go shopping for dinner ingredients and other items we need?" asked Misumi, as she finished arranging the cleaning tools.

"Let's go. Akira mentioned there's a convenience store nearby," Asuna recalled, thinking about the suggestion Akira made while they were on their way to Sakura-sou.

"You're right, and there should be an ATM too," Misumi agreed, noting that they needed to withdraw money since their currency was not useful in this world.

Once they agreed, the girls left Sakura-sou and headed towards the convenience store Akira had mentioned. Unbeknownst to them, there was a man and a girl who noticed their departure from Sakura-sou.

"Jin, are those the new residents?" asked Kamigusa Misaki curiously, observing Asuna and Misumi.

"I don't think so. Chihiro-sensei mentioned that they were a boy and a girl," Mitaka Jin replied, examining Asuna and Misumi with a lecherous gaze. "But I must admit, they are incredibly beautiful."

Kamigusa Misaki stared sadly at Jin upon witnessing his inappropriate gaze towards Asuna and Misumi.

"I wonder if the Kouheis like their rooms," Misaki quickly changed the subject, trying to regain her cheerful mood.

"I don't know," Jin responded, adjusting his glasses and resuming his walk towards Sakura-sou.

Jin wasn't interested in Akira because he knew he was a man, and he would never pursue Mashiro since he was aware of her status as a world-famous painter. He feared the consequences from her family and fans if anything were to happen between them.

Furthermore, his severe inferiority complex compelled him to date multiple girls, attempting to assert his petty superiority over Misaki because he felt inferior when compared to her.

Jin was more aware of his own ordinariness than anyone else. He had fallen in love with a genius, not just any genius but a genius among geniuses. Over time, his feelings shifted from love to possessiveness and obsession. Additionally, he enjoyed witnessing her expression when he accompanied other women.

"Jin, wait for me," Misaki exclaimed, quickly following after him.

"Did you notice that?" Misumi asked, her expression turning cold.

"Yes," Asuna replied, disgust evident on her face.

Both Asuna and Misumi felt Jin's lewd gaze upon their bodies, causing them to feel repulsed. Although they occasionally experienced intense desire similar to what Akira had towards them, it would fade as quickly as it arose.

However, Akira's desire never disgusted them; in fact, it made them happy. It meant that Akira found them attractive, unlike Mitaka's gaze, which left them feeling repulsed.

To Asuna and Misumi, it felt as though Mitaka viewed them merely as objects to fulfill his lust, while Akira was protective and appreciative of them.

"For now, let's ignore him. But if he crosses any boundaries, feel free to put him in his place," Asuna advised, noticing Misumi's cold gaze. "Remember, we're still new in this world, and we don't want to cause trouble for Akira on our first day."

"Okay," Misumi nodded, her cold expression fading as she decided to ignore Mitaka, not wanting to create problems for Akira.

Asuna and Misumi continued walking, curiously observing their surroundings.

"It seems that the technological level in this world is relatively low," Misumi remarked, noticing the technological lag compared to her own world.

"That's true, but it could be due to the presence of supernatural forcesin this world," Asuna nodded in response to Misumi's observation, offering a plausible explanation.

"Honestly, I was surprised by the strength I felt from Akira in this world," Misumi added with a wry smile.

Indeed, upon arriving in this world, Misumi had sensed an inexplicable power emanating from Akira, leaving her astonished.

"That's Akira's true power. His abilities were sealed when he came to our world," Asuna explained, shaking her head as she recalled the impact of the chat group on the anime and the changes it brought. "Not only Akira, but Rimuru-san, Shin-san, and Shido-san were also affected by the group's seal."

"Are they all that strong?" Misumi asked, her suspicion growing. If everyone possessed the same level of power as Akira, it meant she had entered a group of formidable beings beyond her imagination.

"For now, Shido-san is the closest in strength to Akira," Asuna replied, reminiscing about the anime and the strength levels of the individuals involved. "Then comes Rimuru-san, followed by Shin-san."

"If you're interested, you can watch the anime series featuring everyone in the chat group," Asuna mentioned, recalling the anime episodes Akira had shared. "Just don't be too surprised, as it seems we've become characters from different worlds in an anime setting."

"Okay," Misumi nodded quietly, not particularly concerned about the details. She knew she was alive and not just a character following a predetermined script.

"We've arrived," Asuna announced, pointing to a small shop next to a doorway with a few ATMs.

Asuna and Misumi approached the ATM and inserted their cards to withdraw money. They needed cash for their purchases since the store might not accept card payments.

Misumi inserted her card into the machine and entered her password, only to be surprised by the balance displayed on the screen.

"That guy..." Misumi murmured, a slight smile forming on her face as she observed how thoughtful Akira had been.

Akira must have realized that it would be uncomfortable for them to rely on him for money all the time. He had loaded one of the cards with 2 billion yen, enough to sustain them comfortably for a long time.

Asuna, too, glanced at the ATM screen she was using and had a similar reaction to Misumi's.

Although they felt hesitant about accepting such a large sum, the memory of Akira's sincere expression when giving them the bank cards reassured them. They decided to accept the gesture and planned to repay him in the future.

After withdrawing some money, they entered the small store to purchase ingredients for dinner and other essentials. Once they completed their shopping, they stored their purchases in the system's warehouse.

"If we head in this direction, the train station should be about a 10-minute walk away," Asuna said, pointing towards a specific direction while consulting the map on her phone.

"Let's go," Misumi nodded, accompanying Asuna towards the train station. Their plan was to visit a department store near the station to buy a bed, wardrobe, and other furnishings for their empty rooms.
