In the World of Utavia, there were many ways to progress one's level. The classic method for EXP acquisition was to kill monsters or other organisms and take a portion of their EXP for yourself. However, only those with battle-related professions could do something like that. Hunters, Assassins, Tanks, Archers, and anything of the such could all acquire EXP through theft of another's essence. But in comparison to higher-ranking Jobs like the Hero or Legendary Knight classes who were able to acquire far more EXP through each kill through innate Job attributes, Basic Jobs received far less.
