章節 62: Chapter 62: Dream Travel
Two hours later, in the shared room.
Kiana, Mei, and Bronya had been assigned to a room together, but the room was quite spacious. Though it wasn't as luxurious as Li Huan's room, it was still very nice, with all necessary facilities. Each of the three girls had their own separate bed and belongings.
Mei and Bronya lay quietly in their beds, while Kiana, on the other hand, was sprawled out in a completely ungraceful sleeping position. Her blanket had been kicked to the side, her mouth was slightly open with drool at the corner, and her pajama top was lifted up around her stomach, exposing her belly. Her white thighs were spread out carelessly, without any concern for appearance.
At that moment, the locked door to Kiana's room suddenly opened.
A cardboard box sneaked in from the doorway and quietly closed the door behind it. It was obvious who this box was—it was Li Huan.
As the owner of the vehicle they were all staying in, Li Huan naturally had a master key that could unlock any door, which was essentially his car key.
But why had he chosen Kiana as his target for tonight's skill experiment?
Earlier, while standing outside the rooms, he played a game of "whoever gets chosen," and Kiana happened to be the lucky one selected.
["In every sense, what you're doing is very wrong."]
The system commented coldly, and it wasn't wrong.
Li Huan was now sneaking into a young girl's bedroom, with the intention of doing something unspeakable while she was fast asleep.
No matter how you looked at it, this could easily result in a phone call to the police, with him ending up in jail.
"Don't say it like that, I'm not going to lay a finger on her," Li Huan responded casually in his mind. "It's just a little dream travel, nothing too serious."
["Sure, but aren't you going to bring Tom along?"]
Li Huan shrugged. "He's watching TV right now. He's done a lot today, so let him take it easy for a while."
["What a considerate owner you are. But are you sure going alone is okay?"]
"With my defense capabilities, there's not much that can threaten me. Plus, I've got my running shoes, so I can always make a quick getaway. What's there to fear?"
["Tch, fine. Just don't say I didn't warn you if something goes wrong."]
"Relax, if something really happens, you won't just sit back and do nothing."
["The fact that you can say that... well, whatever. Just a reminder though, the cooldown for Dream Leap is an hour. You'll have to stay in there for at least an hour before you can come out. I can't guarantee what might happen in that time."]
"I'm aware, and I've made my decision."
Li Huan emerged from the cardboard box and stood in front of Kiana.
There was a serene beauty in the sight of a girl sleeping, but Kiana's terrible sleeping posture completely destroyed that beauty.
"Her sleeping habits are really bad. Does she have any awareness of being a girl at all?" Li Huan couldn't help but comment.
Grumbling aside, Li Huan's eyes sharpened as he activated Dream Leap.
His body suddenly emitted a soft glow and shrunk into a small blue orb. This orb would then enter Kiana's mind, traveling to her subconscious.
The glowing orb, which Li Huan had turned into, floated in the air for a few seconds, testing its movement by swirling around briefly. After a moment, it flew straight toward Kiana's head and entered her mind.
However, even Li Huan didn't notice that right before entering Kiana's mind, the orb momentarily turned a deeper shade of blue.
Then, it merged into Kiana's mind and disappeared.

After entering Kiana's mind, Li Huan found himself enveloped in a strange sensation. It was like a prisoner suddenly freed from countless chains and shackles, breathing in fresh air for the first time. The feeling of liberation was so intense that it momentarily overwhelmed him.
In the midst of this euphoria, Li Huan became momentarily dazed.
When he finally snapped out of it, the first thing he noticed was the wet sensation on his cheek. As his consciousness gradually returned, Li Huan opened his eyes and began to see the scene around him clearly.
"Snow?"
Looking at the white landscape in front of him, Li Huan quickly realized what it was—snow.
He got up from the ground, brushing off the snowflakes that covered his body.
"What the heck is going on?"
Frowning, Li Huan looked around and found himself in the middle of a snowfield. Snow continued to fall from the sky, and he reached out to catch a snowflake, letting it melt in his hand.
Puzzled by this unusual environment, Li Huan began to think quietly, "How long have I been here?"
He touched his sweater, which, despite being covered in snow, wasn't wet at all. In fact, none of his clothes were wet, and his body temperature remained perfectly stable.
"If it weren't for Tom's sweater, I'd probably be freezing right now, soaked and with hypothermia."
Gaining a new appreciation for his gear, Li Huan lowered his hand and called out, "Hey, system, what's going on?"
However, several minutes passed, and the system didn't respond.
Li Huan's expression changed, and with a thought, he opened the system's interface.
"The system itself is functioning... but why isn't it answering me?"
Encountering this for the first time, Li Huan didn't panic. Instead, he began to think through various possibilities.
"Could it be that the system can't communicate with me while I'm inside someone else's subconscious?"
Eventually, he landed on a plausible explanation.
"This could be a bit of a problem."
Li Huan checked his skills tab, and Dream Leap was grayed out, with no response when he tried to use it.
"Still on cooldown, huh?" He stroked his chin. "Looks like I've been here for less than an hour. Now what...?"
"Well, no point worrying about it here."
He closed the interface and looked around more carefully. It seemed he was in the middle of a forest, surrounded by towering trees.
"I should probably leave this forest first. Staying here won't get me any answers."
He glanced at the sky and muttered, "Man, this girl's dream is seriously weird."
With his hands in his pockets, he casually picked a direction and began walking forward through the endless snow.
