"How Miles and I met?" He asks.

"Yes." 

"Why do you want to know how Miles and I met?" 

So I can try and figure out why your relationship is so ill fated.

"Just curious that's all." 

"Really?" He asks doubtful and I nod.

"I'm really serious." 

He scratches the back of the neck. "I'm not really sure I remember."

"When did you meet?" I ask instead.

"We met when I was nine. Although we never really liked each other then, but after we beat up a kid who was bullying another kid, we became closer."

"You beat up a kid together?" I ask in shock and he nods. 

"Yeah. He was like a year older but we didn't care." 

"So you've been friends for over nine years?" I ask but he shakes his head.

"Seven." 

"Seven?" 

He nods. "We stopped being friends two years ago."

"Oh." I mutter. "Will you give me an answer if I ask you why?" 

"You wouldn't believe me anyway." He says.

"Try me."
