"Adrian."

Shaga had just opened the door to their large home, and immediately, he closed his nose, catching a strong and bitter Alpha pheromone that filled the room where Adrian stood, motionless, walking toward him.

"Where have you been? Why is your phone off?"

Clutching the hem of his shirt, Adrian's tone was pressing. Shaga looked down at the floor, feeling guilty for making his Alpha angry. He spoke in a soft voice, "I met your brother and intentionally turned off my phone."

"Why did you meet him? Did you deliberately turn off your phone so I wouldn't disturb you two?"

Shaga hesitated and bit his lip. He tried hard not to reveal the truth, but the urge to be honest was growing stronger. "I didn't do what you think."
