"Ten days?" Irene was flummoxed by Kieran's words and she stared at him in disbelief. "Isn't it a little too soon? Can't we wait some time more?"
Kieran gave her a smile, one that was filled with grief and longing and Irene felt her heart twisting in pain on seeing it. In just one smile, she had received his reply and she felt miserable for even asking him the question.
"I know your dilemma, Sylvaine. But this is non-negotiable and ten days will be the maximum time I can offer. Please do not ask me for more. I will not be able to grant your wish." Kieran stated his helplessness and even Seymour, who wanted to push the wedding for a few more weeks, suppressed his intentions.
"Moreover, you may visit your father and brother whenever you want. They are your family. I will never stop you from visiting them."
