"This is the finance department…" Dane led the board of directors to each department, explaining the strong points of each department. The old members of the board already knew most of the things Dane spoke about, but they still took this time to inspect the departments.

"Greetings!"

Everyone in the finance department rose from their seats, bowing to greet the board of directors and the CEO of the company. Inspections like this happened every few months. Some of them were surprised inspections, but today, they received a memo from the higher office. Therefore, they all prepared for today's visit.

Dane signaled the head of the department to tour the board and give them a rundown of the department's situation. Taking this break, Dane checked his phone for any important messages. Seeing one seemingly unimportant message, deep lines appeared between his brows.

Hey guys. I got checked today, and I found out I have low white blood cells. Though I have normal platelets, I still need to repeat my lab to see if my white blood cells will have a normal range tomorrow. Else, I might get admitted which I don't wish to happen.

They prescribed me with tons of meds, though. Hopefully, I get better soon.

If you're wondering how I have been, well these past three days, I've been suffering with headaches that caused tension behind my eyes. It's a continuous pain that doesn't go away, even with sleep and rest. I'm also running a fever, cold, dry cough, and a bad sore throat.

I appreciate all your kind words and understanding. Though even with this condition, I can't stop updating because I don't have LOA (leave of absence) and I can't afford to lose Win-Win. Author is poor. lol. Anyway, until I get better, I might reduce chapter updates. Don't worry. I love writing and I'm always excited to update this novel, so I will surely mass release once I get better.
