Jiang Xi lay in the bathtub, the bathroom door had already been carefully closed by Rong Nian. She let out a long sigh of relief, feeling her cold, damp body beginning to warm up.

The hot water washed over her, her legs slowly regained sensation, and a prickly, itchy tickle exploded in every pore, but her mind became increasingly groggy.

After soaking for more than ten minutes, Jiang Xi suddenly heard a knock at the door, Rong Nian's voice came through, "I've placed your change of clothes on the stool outside the door, don't soak too long."

The footsteps outside faded away, and Jiang Xi soaked for a few more minutes until she felt dizzy emerging from the water, her fair skin blushing pink from the heat.

She dried off and wrapped herself in a bath towel before heading to the door.

Her feet touched the floor, still feeling a bit numb, but much better than earlier when she could barely stand.
