寫檢討Seems very solid so far. The main character receives an ability to perfectly recall all of his memories, but it has clear limitations; he himself is not actually smarter. Many riddles and theorems and sciences are mixed in, and, even if some are incorrect, it shows that the author put effort into writing the novel. It has a very technical and calculating feel much like Warlock of the Magus World. Not sure if it will hold up, but it is far more promising than a copy-and-paste sign-in novel.

another story about D&D wizards from the guy who wrote The Truth of Magic i thought he'd learned his lesson because this one has a much stronger setting and starting system, but after ~100 chapters he jumps the shark again and throws out everything to have dumb action scenes where none of his previous powers matter and neither do the side characters
This story is annoying. Very annoying. The theme of magi is great. After all, Warlock of the Magus World gave hope to despairing Chinese novel scene. Giving us a new template of protagonists. But this story? It's irritating on so many levels. I'll just list them for simplicity's sake: 1. The body's old will still remains in the body. Which is the rationale for MC making down-right idiotic choices. 2. Everytime someone needs help the MC will be reminded of someone he cares about. Chubby man? Reminds him of his father. Little girl? Reminds him of his little sister. Mean-spirited girl? Reminds him of his older sister. He uses these excuses to act like a shining beacon of righteousness. 3. Superificial MC. First heroine introduced wears a mask. After he sees her appearance for the first time...he moans to himself that he should've been nicer to her. Not only that, his impression of her went up by 1000x. 4. The cheat should've just been a memory palace. But in effect it acts like a deity tier artefact. MC hit by psychological attack? Blocked. MC hit by dream spell? Blocked. The cheat conveniently saves the MC from every little thing. 5. The MC has no idea how to use his cheat at all. Instead of gaining a foundation by reading books, he choses to spend his time trying to chat up beauties. Sigh. 6. From time to time the MC will randomly preach socialist ideaologies. About how he believes there's non hierarchy in society et cetera. All in all...this protagonist doesn't deserve to be a magus.
This novel sucks to me. There is some grammatical errors. Author made the mc quite dumb The mc, who possess a cheat that give him knowledge of anything, don't really know anything at all. Plus mc does waste time on pointless stuff.
Pretty bad to be honest. The MC's knowledge of this world isn't very clear at all. I mean we know he has a library with all of his memories from the previous world, but it's not clear if that applies to the previous world or not. The library in question is also pretty nonsensical because the man isn't just reading memories you might expect. Dude seems to have a ludicrously large eclectic and convenient reading history to have stored in there. Dude seems to take some ridiculous risks before really knowing much of anything about magic too. Part of that might be the author's inability to keep his knowledge of this world consistent or the way he acts for that matter. This is only by chapter 7 as well. I can only imagine this will get worse the more the story develops because it will be more stuff for the author to try and keep track of.
Feels like plot armor. And the only good think about MC is his memory -> that was given as a golden spoon from author. Over all since casting spells is based a lot on memory and mc got perfect memory we can all guess how pointless this book will be. And you can already see face slapping by mc at 7chapter and it will probably get worse.
Writing quality not bad Story is slow paced with little to to much scheming. World background unknown only that there's mages and humans and a capital city. The Mc's character is not bad we haven't got any glimpse of his rational behavior or coldness but he's a deep schemer too. 20 chapter of nothing but unrelated information that's even more confusing no action or magic or a single spell nothing just probabilities of solving a rubric cubes. It's not interesting there's nothing wow yet that'll keep readers wanting more. Ps his cheat look similar to LOHP.

Shocked to find a hidden gem here. Kind of reminded me "Mother of Learning" with the modern times DnD-like setting. For those who are tired up of recent cliché and copycats tide, this is rare good change.
It's rare that I write a positive review - I can't even remember the last time I did so - but that should show you how much I want this novel to be continued. The overall setting is not really unique, but it doesn't have to be, especially when the MC has a very balanced cheat - if you can even call it one, it's just a step up from photographic memory. He's not smarter, or more talented, or able to obtain information others cannot, he's just able to remember anything. And given that magic involves remembering or recreating the nearly-unrememberable, that is a big help, but not earth-shatteringly so, I think. For character design, there's not a lot to say. One point tho, despite first impressions, if you think about it, he's not arrogant, he's just aware of his status and abilities, and acting accordingly. To those who have real abilities, or hold important positions for a good reason (not just "daddy is a government official, so bow down to me"), he treats them with dignity and respect. To cheaters, connivers, backstabbers, and those who've gone mad with perceived power, he shuts them down without hesitation. He somewhat lacks common sense, but that's to be expected from someone with absolutely none of his body's original memories. The story is rather original, with numerous twists I'd never seen before (which is also saying something, to date, I've read literally hundreds, maybe even over a thousand, other novels). Some portions are predictable, but it's hard to avoid that no matter how good an author you are. Plot armor (of the egregious variety) seems to be nonexistent thus far, with the most glaring example being, uh... a bookworm knowing the Collatz Conjecture (3n+1 problem, for those who don't remember it by that name), or maybe a memory-preservation (aka mental stability) cheat having protective effects on his mind? Easy to understand explanations for kinda improbable events can't really be called egregious plot armor, the only luck there is being in a situation where his skills can shine in the first place. Sure, instead of a mental attack they could've just fireballed him, but they wanted to leave no trace for contextually obvious reasons, so mental attacks were the best option by far. Not much else I wanna say, so go read it and let WN know they should continue its translation of this excellent novel.
