She felt him stiffen, and then relax.
"Alright. The traditions." He murmured.
"Well. The primary reason Archibald likely wants you to delay the anniversary celebrations is because a large portion of it is dedicated to the celebration of the union between the empress and her king consort."
She blinked.
Of course it made sense.
The King Consort was a huge part of Nevremian tradition. Her making a harem was her first choice upon waking up in the world, and inadvertently was the most ridiculous one she could have made short of just rejecting the crown entirely.
But...
She didn't regret it.
Because.
What her grandmother had turned it into - or, perhaps it wasn't her grandmother. Perhaps it was just the tradition by that point which her grandmother had simply been enforcing to the best of her abilities.
Whatever.
It didn't matter.
Why is it sometimes at the end of my chapter the text just ignores my enter presses and blobs it together? I don't know.
