An impatient mewl followed, once Snowball determined he wasn't getting sufficient response from his mama.

Isabelle cracked open her eyes sleepily, just enough to see Snowball's huge, brilliant blue eyes staring up at her from only inches away from her face.

His tiny pink tongue poked out between his front teeth to clean the area around his mouth as he waited for her to acknowledge him.

Her lips curled into an amused smile as she lifted her hand to pet his ears gently, trying not to giggle. He leaned into her touch, purring softly. The sweet sound caused her heart to swell with love.

As soon as her fingers moved away, he nudged her hand gently, as though encouraging her to continue touching him.
