Octavian crossed his arms as he leaned against the wall. His expression wasn't particularly happy, but she couldn't blame him.

After all, the princess Caoimhe had just accused him of conspiracy to murder royalty.

Octavian clicked his tongue and shook his head, breaking the silence that had settled on the room.

"She's desperate. I was never near that prince. I followed your instructions and never went near him, didn't spend any time not in sight of one of my men. She's got nothing."

Isabelle pursed her lips. "Probably. This should be part of the plan."

His purple eyes met hers. "The plan from your mystery man?"

She nodded with a small hum.

If it wasn't, then Caoimhe had found some way to be able to pin this on them despite all their precautions.
