She leaned her hands on her knees and hummed. "Where's my little baby?"

Snowball peered out from underneath a bush at her feet.

He sneezed at her.

She reached down and gently tugged him out of the bush. "No hiding from mommy, Snowball. I'll get scared." She pressed a kiss to the top of his head anyway.

Snowball let out a trill.

She laughed. "Oh, so silly..." She pet him, then turned to her husbands. "You all packed? Ready to head off?"

Tenshi and Octavian gave a nod, as did Phoenix.

She cradled the kitten in her arms and smiled down at him, reaching up to remove a little twig from his fur.

"I think my little baby has worn himself out running around the garden, too. Ready to go in your new sling and nap, baby?"

He leaned up to lick her chin with his rough little cat tongue.

"Momma's boy~"

He let out a prrt, wiggling in her arms.
