THEODORIC 's POV
"You almost had me killed!" I chuckled. While unlocking the cage.
It's pretty interesting.
"That's your fault. You could have acted better. Like scream and go insane." I said to my stupid sister. She changes her form into former king Gustavo. We conquer this kingdom now, and it's much easier to find what we need.
"Why didn't you kill, Elijah? He's also a formidable opponent like Yule." she said. She really doesn't use her brain.
"If I kill him earlier, it means, I started the war. And all of the Kingdoms will interfere in our plans. Use your brain...Eris." I said and go back to my normal form. It sucks to be an old man.
"If we made a friendship towards Solstice. The search will become much easier. King Nicolas thinks that the Kingdom is not a threat and a possible ally. That way, we can send people there to find him. " I said.
"You're right. So, what's your plan?" she asked me.
"Summon hordes as much as you can and command them to attack the southern border. This is the first step."

THIRD PERSON'S POV
Under the cover of darkness, Eli and his Knights stealthily made their way through the corridors of the castle. Their footsteps were silent, their movements swift and calculated. They had honed their skills in the art of espionage, and now it was time to put them to the test.
As they reached the secret passage that led outside the castle walls, Eli's golden eyes gleamed with determination. He knew that this mission required utmost precision and caution. With a nod to his Knights, they ventured into the unknown, leaving behind the safety of the castle.
Their objective was to gather information, to uncover any plots or threats that could endanger the kingdom. Eli and his Knights moved like shadows, blending seamlessly into the night. They observed the streets, the bustling markets, and the hidden corners where secrets were whispered.
Disguised as commoners, they mingled with the people, listening to their conversations, and gathering tidbits of information. They frequented taverns and inns, where rumors often found their roots. Eli's enigmatic aura allowed him to effortlessly blend in, his handsome appearance attracting little suspicion.
Days turned into weeks, and Eli's knights continued their discreet surveillance of the kingdom of Equinox. Despite their relentless efforts, they had yet to uncover any signs of suspicious activity. The banquets, gatherings, and social events they attended provided no clues or indications of a hidden threat.
Finally, Eli instructed the knights to retreat, and are on their way back to their Kingdom.
" Captain? What's the matter? Why are we going home so soon?" one of his men asks him. Eli keeps a serious face when they leave the Kingdom of Equinox.
"King Gustavo is alive..." he said. All of his men inside the envoy's carriage are shocked. " I saw him with my own eyes," he added.
"But our king said he died, and how's that possible?" asked his men. He looked at Eli "...But captain, do you believe him...the King of Equinox?" he asked again and Eli looked out the window and
"No, I don't believe him." Eli simply answered
"All of you, how is your part?" Eli asked.
"The group alpha didn't find anything suspicious. All the people are just celebrating. "
"That's the same for us, even though many nobles came from different Kingdoms. There's no suspicious movement."
"That's the same for us captain. We look at the carriage of the people and no suspicious thing we found."
"Very well, we must say the word to the King. " He said and thought about it.
'Could it be, they're planning something somewhere? It's possible' he said to his mind.
"How many days until we get to the southern border? " Eli asks the horseman.
"It is quite longer than we expected. We're using the way to get to the southern border. Compared to the road we use to make our way to the Equinox, the way to the Eastern is much shorter. It's approximately 5 days until we arrive at the border." the horseman said while focusing on the road.
"We will pass through the Chatoyant Mountain. We will be expecting monster any time once we set out foot in there." the horseman said.
"Oh, yeah. The fall is near, which means we will be having a hunting competition soon." the men said.
Fall is the season of the hunting Festival. Because in the fall, all monsters are active. In the competition, many knights, mages, and nobles participate, and the one who captures and kills as many as they can until the end of the competition wins. King Nicolas himself will be giving his blessing and giving an award to the winner.
Usually, the award is a magical sword or a wish, that the King must fulfill. So, all of the knights, mages, and nobles are determined to win because of the prize. Whether you're a man or a woman, if you're capable enough, you're all welcome to compete.
"Captain, are you joining the competition too?" asked one of his colleagues.
"No." he simply answered.
"But why captain? The competition is so much fun, its relaxing so--"
"I don't need relaxation, if you want to compete, go. But don't drag me out of it because you think it's fun." He coldly said. The ambiance began to get colder.

YULE'S POV
"Milady, it's a nice day today, why don't you go outside? I heard that the merchants from different cities are here to sell their goods." Kaniz said. I've been restless since I read the diary of Adelle.
I can't think straight. Why is a mere merchant having that soul summon circle? And I assume that he really doesn't know how it works, to think that he just gave it to a child. No, could it be? I need to find him. Adelle said he looked sick. That's the only lead I have.
"Yes, let's go. "I said. Kaniz is like a mother to Adelle; she takes care of Adelle very well; I can tell because of how she treated me. I want to reward her just once.
I want to find that merchant and ask him how and where did he get that. To think that he even gave her a procedure to execute the spell. I can only hope that I'm wrong.
Kaniz opens the door and we flinch when we see the Marquess about to knock on my door.
Since I've read that diary and knew how the Marquess treats her own daughter. I didn't get to glance at him and I avoided him and everyone in this household. Melissa, Eva, and Marquess are all the same. They all suck and I feel suffocated living in this house for just a couple of weeks.
"Ah...Adelle can w--" I cut what he's about to say. Hearing his voice makes me want to kill him.
"We're going out...do I need to ask for permission?" what I said made him shocked and I looked at him coldly.
"Ah, no... I'll allow it," he said and I got going.
"Adelle..." I stopped and didn't look at him.
"Be careful...don't lose your way again," he said and I continued walking without looking back. Let's say he got a change of heart when he lost Adelle.
Now, he's acting like he cares, like he loves Adelle, acts Like nothing happened like he never treats her awful. But it's too late now, maybe if Adelle was here and not me, I'm sure she'd be delighted. But it is I who's here. It's too late to act like that, Adelle is gone and she'll remember forever how you all treated her.
When I got out of the house, I saw Eva in the garden, having a tea party with the nobles. Whenever I see her, I want to cut her hair too and burn all her dresses while she's wearing them. I noticed she looked at me and the other nobles looked at me too and they laughed together.
Are they talking about me, right now?
"Milady, don't ruin your mood for today, they're just like that because they haven't got to educate their selves," Kaniz said. Maybe she noticed my brow furrowed a moment ago. I smile at her
"Let's go, Kaniz," I said and walked towards the gate but I stopped when I heard what they were talking about
"Oh ho. Why is she still here? I heard the Marquess sent her away to Eudaimonia city?"
"Oh? Is it true Eva?"
"Yes, because he really angered my father, that's why my father sent her away," Eva answered. The audacity?
"Really? Then why is she here now? Don't tell me, she's still pushing herself in your family?"
"She's really shameless"
"Yeah, she really is, I bet she's going to the marketplace again and spending my father's fund" Eva added.
"Really? How shameless---" My eyes widened when Kaniz confronted them. She walks toward their table
"Lady Eva, and all the noble ladies. With all due respect, please don't talk like that behind my lady's back. She has done nothing wrong with all of you. So, plea---"
*Slap*
My eyes widen as Eva slaps Kaniz in the face. I immediately go and walk toward them
"How dare you? A mere servant talks to me like that!?" Eva said and was about to slap Kaniz again but this time. I stop her hand
*Slap*
And slap her instead.
"How dare you hurt Kaniz in front of me!?" I said furiously. The anger inside me is accumulating and about to burst out. I grabbed her wrist tightly and I could see the pain in her face.
"...And what? Your father? YOUR FATHER!?" I said and I didn't know how scary my face and voice were to make them gulp in fear at the same time.
"Your father is not the Marquess. His blood doesn't run in your system. Even a bit" I said and grabbed her by the collar. "You're just a child of the mistress he brought in, you're the shameless one, assuming that you own everything here just because MY FATHER, brought you two into MY HOUSE." I let go of her and saw her face with so much anger.
"You're the one who pushes yourself in this house. You and your bitch mother." I said
I looked at the nobles with a disgusted look on my face, with crossed arms, criticizing each one of them. "How shameless, looks like you forgot your etiquette at your house." I coldly said. Leaving them speechless.
"Eva? Is it true? You're the adopted child?" I heard them while Kaniz and I were walking away.
"No! She's lying...I'm the only daughter of the Marquess." she said proudly.
She's not going to stop. How shameless of her. I walk back there again.
*splash*
I poured the tea into her face. Just serve her right.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
