章節 40: Hatching
"Hey there you three. Come in.", Hagrid greeted the trio at the door.
As soon as they walked in they became aware that another person was present.
"Nicholas?", Harry questions surprised.
"Hello.", Hermione greets.
"Hello you three.", I reply.
"Hagrid, what is he doing here?", Ron asks unfriendly.
I and the other two raise an eyebrow at his tone, but Hagrid didn't seem to notice it. But hatching a dragon made him so excited that I could understand his enthusiasm.
"Well he was the firs' to know an' gave me a lot o' tips in the last months."
I told him beforehand not to tell anyone, I am going to raise the dragon, so none of us gets in trouble.
"Given your knowledge on magical beasts that is understandeble.", Hermione says smiling. She got to know me good enough in the last couple of months, that she understood I had a thing for them. To be honest everyone in the studygroup learns this fast as I explain to them a lot more, if they ask me about a magical beast. Most of them, who wanted a short answer have gone to other members to ask, but Hermione exploited my weakness to learn more. As she was truly interested to learn I didn't see a problem with her methods, but it gave her a few looks from other participants.
My thoughts got interrupted by Hagid, who took the shaking egg and put it on top of the table.
Not even a minute later the egg shaked and cracks appeared on the shell. Then, with a great momentum, the little girl broke out so the fragments of the shell flew over the whole table.
"He's so cute, ain't he? I call you Norbert. You can give her a middlename, Nic'. ", Hagrid smiles proudly.
"She is a female Hagid. So how about Norberta Zafira?"
"Didn't know that, but sure. Sounds nice.", he agrees.
"Well it's already late, so I'll go now. See you in the morning Hagrid."
"Take care.", he mumbles with his attention on the Dragon.
I left so soon as I knew, the trio would squeeze out information about the philosophers stone from Hagrid now that I left.
That night I dreamed of flying on the back of a dragon.
But after the flight I needed to take care of her and began to make different treats mainly about fish. It was quite weird, but I had a good laugh about it after waking up.

A week goes by.
I go more often to Hagrid and we use time in the morning to take care of her. I know I have to tame her soon to understand and educate her so she doesn't eat my other familiars. But I hope there is a bond not only between me and her, but also among my pets. We will see in the future, because she is so little now that she only drinks nutritious blood.
Maybe my dream revealed some knowledge I learned in the past, as the favourite food of norwegian Ridgebacks are fish and water mammals.
So to prepare for that I wanted some fish, but couldn't just take some from the Black Lake as it was connected to the sea, the fish were saltwater fish, but I only had a river with a connected lake in my space.
So in the coming weeks I made a riverarm, that connected to a deeper-level sea at the south end of the plain. Although I call it a sea, it was honestly just a little saltwater lake smaller than the Black Lake, because of the small space I have. But as it was saltwater, I could add a few fish so they could reproduce without predators till Norberta Zafira grows up.
Really a long name now that I think about it, so I created a nickname.
I was really thinking between Nora and Zafi, but since I wanted to train her together with Hagrid, I choose Nora.
But now that only a good month was left in the schoolyear, I needed to pay attention to my exams and afterwards to the plot as the last magical beast I wanted to acquire this year was connected to it.
I really couldn't understand why this good boy was shipped to Greece after he lived in Hogwarts for so many years.
Or should I call them boys?
I can't decide.
